Golden Tate Value?

Is Tate worth more than the 1.09? I think it’s close. I know Tate could go up in value if he signs a good contract but it mitigates a lot of risk.

I wouldn't say a late 1st is mitigating risk, but I'd probably take the pick over an older, soon to be FA, Tate

I don't think I could get a 1st for him in either of my leagues. Might be able to get a 2nd.

i would take the 9th pick for him, but the FA thing is good news. NE needs someone that can help spread and they like proven cheaper wrs. he checks all the boxes for them!

Any 1st is an easy accept. Sure, there are a few destinations where his value could spike. But it is unlikely to spike much higher than 1.09. And that spike will be short lived. Pass on this, and you could be begging for a 3rd a year from now.

If I could get any 1st for my Golden Tate right now I'd jump on that. Eagles traded for him but seem to just want him there to keep opposing defenses honest, not get him 7+ targets a game and let him run after the catch like the Lions did

Tate was worth about the 1.09 when he was the slot WR in DET getting double digit targets from Stafford. I'd rather have the 1.09 at this point, especially when we have no idea what team he'll be with next season. Of course, his value could bounce back quickly if he signs with a great offense.

Piling on the pick and agree with others his value was higher at DET than it will likely be where ever he lands next. Sucks because he was a nice undervalued asset for a few years.
