Kittle v. Henry/Henry

For Wasteland, I just took the title and am looking to improve some weak areas. The Kittle owner is rebuilding and would like a RB and replacement TE. He tossed out an initial idea of Henry and Henry for Kittle. Personally, I would rather ship off T. Coleman and A. Hooper or T. Burton and a pick. I have the 1.12, 2.03, 2.09, and 2.12 in the first two rounds for 2019. For reference, the 2.03 is his pick acquired in a deal before the season, so he would probably appreciate getting it back.

I'm not adverse to sending both Henrys, but I drafted and held both hoping to net on-field results. What would you do to get this done?

I think you're buying and selling at the wrong time. Buying Kittle at likely his highest price tag (fewer targets next year with healthier skill players and a baked in regression to the mean) and selling the Henrys at a depleted level (Coming off an injury for HH and a season of low usage for Henry, though some light at the end of that tunnel). I'd hold.

I would offer Coleman and H. Henry. Still gives him one of the pieces he is looking for.

I would pay Henry and Henry for a top 3 TE.

x2 Kittle is well worth it, and this actually seems fairly cheap given Kittle's current market value and ADP.

If H.Henry can bounce back from a nasty injury, he is as good, if not better than Kittle. And I stuck by D.Henry all season and he came good in the end, I firmly believe he will get bulk load of carries next season now. And your weakest position is RB.

I would hold on to them.

Tough call. I think it leaves you too thin at RB. I also don't think there's a huge difference between Kittle and Henry next year. Depends how you view D. Henry. I'd offer Tevon like someone else mentioned

This is a cheap price to pay for Kittle IMO. Henry is still a prebreakout fantasy player and by no means is guaranteed to come anywhere near Kittle. We just don't know how the dynamic of the Chargers offense is going to work with M. Williams and KA and HH all on the same field. What we do know is Kittle just broke the TE receiving record at the age of 25. I don't care if McKinnon is back and they sign AB, Kittle is still going to get his and will be a top 3 TE for YEARS.

Easy pass, IMO.

I know all the love for Kittle, but we don't know if he'll ever reproduce those numbers. No way that I'd be giving up T. Henry for slight assurance of Kittle of H. Henry (who looked pretty damn impressive his rookie year, lest we forget!!!).

I don't think your team is deep enough to ship off two starters for one - and that, as others have alluded to, may not even be much of an upgrade.

Just try to remember how happy you were last summer about the prospect of Hunter Henry as your TE. Nothing has changed.

-oo-

Wow, this is extremely mixed. I was excited to have H. Henry as my starter this past season, so much so that I doubled down by trading for him in Panther a week before his injury. But with our shallow starting reqs and the PPR, Kittle scored high and I would love to be able to plug him into my lineup 16 games a year.
I gave the 1.06 for Henry during the 2017 draft, so I've been high on and holding out hope for him since then. He helped get me the title this year with his strong end to the season. I'm torn.

HUGE 49er fan here.

Kittle was amazing this past season, but he also had the largest YAC in NFL history. That's obviously unsustainable, especially for a TE. Add in the fact that there were zero other options in that offense, and you got an obvious decline in 2019. Hell, he'll probably never get to that number ever again.

But, we're talking about fantasy football here. It's a game, and games are supposed to be fun. If you want your guy, and that's the price to get your guy and you're willing to pay it, then damnit go ahead and do it.

henry and henry for me. if kittle keeps hitting 1400 ill eat my words but im doubting very highly the gap from HH to kittle going forward will be anything close to a derrick henry level asset.

you would think his production would be down because of that no?

Teams could key in on him and prevent the teams best player from getting the ball.

Kittle has Ertz like production in him, if you had the chance to get Ertz would you?

To OP I would ask and see if you could get something back with Kittle, a pick or a min tier vet can help you or a pick. This MIGHT be the best window to sell DH.
