Give up CMac?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Give up CMac?

Postby Niceguy » Thu Jan 10, 2019 4:11 pm

12 team league superflex, PPR league. I was offered the following trade:

Give up: Christian McCaffrey

Receive: 1.01, 2.01, 2.04, Rashaad Penny

Thoughts on this? I like the value being offered but it's so hard to part with a genuine stud like CMac. For context, I didn't win the league but I was the highest scoring team this season so I'm not in rebuild mode by any means.

Thanks, everybody. I haven't kept up with player values as much I have in years past. Glad you talked me off the ledge.

no no no, the 1.1 this year is not near the value as the 1.1 the past idk five years. For CMC the 1.1 should be a + on a high end young player like a diggs

Haha did you see what CMC did for you this year?

If Barkley was in this class, everyone would tell you to do it easily, but there's not a "sure fire" prospect at the top this year

Based on all of the backlash of the "Bell for Barkley" threads this preseason I'd say a lot of people would still say to keep CMC. I admit I was torn throughout the summer if Barkley should be valued at that price though so I went back and forth lol

And CMC finished as the #1 RB this season and is only 6 months older than Barkley. Much different than Bell, who is quite a bit older. CMC should go #1 in plenty of startups this summer.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
