Improvements for a championship team?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Improvements for a championship team?

Postby hockeyBjj » Wed Jan 09, 2019 8:30 am

Team 2 in sig, back to back champs. I'm wanting to know if there are moves I should make this offseason to really continue that, or if it is in just sit and hold tight unless crazy steal offer comes in from someone else. 12 team, ppr, 1QB, 3RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

In playoffs I got saved by both Derrick Henry turning into a monster, and my leaguemates being lazy and myself able to pick up Damien Williams. I've since fixed my only glaring hole that was RB3 behind Gurley and Kamara by acquiring Dalvin Cook for the 1.10, 1.12, and 2.12. Do I just let this team chill until the start of next season? I'll leave off the dart throw flyers as this league has stupid deep benches

QB- Russel Wilson, Baker Mayfield, Alex Smith
RB- Gurley, Kamara, Cook, D Henry, D Williams, TJ Yeldon, Theo Riddick, M Brown,
WR- Evans, Diggs, Landry, Boyd, Arob, Westbrook, Hurns, Higgins, Periman
TE- Kelce, Hooper, Legget

2.1, 2.2, 3.12, 4.12, 5.12- All my own 2020 picks

With adding Cook, the only thing I can think of would be getting a reliable top 5 WR like a Michael Thomas or OBJ or D Adams, but I don't know if that'd be worth the cost? as I have plenty of depth of WR2s and two lower WR1s already in Evans and Diggs (who have ability to be mid or high WR1s next year). Perhaps someone added for TE depth as that's such a murder
Team 1- 10 team ppr, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flx, 1D, 1K
2022: 1-8
Finishes: 6th, 6th, 1st, 5th, 6th, 9th
QB: Lamar Jackson, Purdy
RB: Bijan, Dobbins, Achane, Charbonnet, Algier, McBride, waiver trash
WR: JSN, QJ, Addison, Dotson, Skyy Moore, Jameson Williams, Hyatt, T Dell, Boutte, Skowronek, Quez Watkins, Greg Dortch, waiver trash
TE: Hockenson, F Monroe, Juwan, Musgrave
D/K: Patriots, Vikings, Saints, Dicker

picks-
2024- 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,4,5,5
2025 1,1,1,2,3,4,5

team 2- 12 team SF, .5PPR, .5TE boost, 1QB, 1SF, 2 RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex
2022: 8-1
Finishes: 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd :wall:
QB: Ljax, GenoD Jones, Minshew, Dobbs
RB: CMC, Stevenson, A Jones, Chubb, A Mattison, D cook, Perine, Mckinnon,
WR:Tyreek, Diggs, C Kupp, D Adams, Keenan Allen, Lockett, Gallup, A Lazard, Hodgins
TE: Kelce, LaPorta, Irv Smith,
No picks until 2026 5th rounder lol

id trade the 2nds for d freeman if at all possible.

i cannot believe in a must start 3 RB format someone gave away cook like that so its got me thinking people below cooks value could be even easier to get (unless that was just a bad owner which i know they do exist lol)

also would take some shots at te i know engram owners soured on him because by the time he played and played well they were already eliminated from playoffs or didnt make it at all.

I also like HH or even jared cook for super cheap

I really like the Engram idea from Bawse, HH will probably be more expensive. If you can package 2 out of 3 from Landry,Arob,Boyd to get a top 5 WR that would be a steal in my opinion. I'd also look to sell high on Derrick Henry while you can. You may be able to package him with one of those 2nds to get a guy like Guice or Kerryon. Might as well keep D. Williams in the hopes wins the job in 2019 as you won't get much for him.

I would sell high on Henry and try to beef up your WRs.
