Basically it comes down to the final 3 names - the rest did not earn enough votes to survive.

Have not followed previous posts, but Ottawa Ice just has a nice ring to it and would be my first choice. The Algonquins is very original however.

Ice... Because that's about all I know about Ottawa. I think it's the most popular food, drink and #1 export in all of Canada.

The Algonquins is not an original team name. It’s the name of a group of indigenous people from North America. Unless the owner is actually Algonquin, it’s not a reasonable name to use for a fantasy sports team.
It’d be similar to naming a fantasy football team “Chicago Sicilians.” Unless you’re Sicilian (an ethnic group native to the Italian island of Sicily), this would also be a silly team name. Given the atrocities that North American indigenous people endured, I think it’d just be insensitive to name a fantasy team that (unless the owner is Algonquin as I said).
Sorry to get all social justicey here. Either way, I voted for the Outlaws but I like Ice as well.

Mrowmix I get what you are saying but the largest college in Ottawa is actually called Algonquin College, and as far as I am aware of, the Algonquins never have had an issue with that.
