This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hunt v chubb

Postby Mjvb5 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 10:47 pm

Had an owner say they were interested in a hunt+ for Chubb deal
I know chubby worth a lot more but to me I’d need hunt to be the second most valuable piece in the swap most likely, is that too much or about right.
Thinking hunt and two firsts or a guy like cook or golladay or someone around there

If you can get Hunt+Cook for Chubb I would do that. I expect Cook and Chubb to both have similar production next year and Hunt will be back in 2020.

I don't blame you at all for not wanting Hunt as the main piece. He should be a throw in until we hear otherwise

I doubt the other owner is leading with Hunt if he views Hunt as a mere throw in.
Cook >= Chubb so adding Hunt to deal makes no sense.
Chubb > Hunt+Golladay
Tough to assess the two 1sts deal without knowing where the 1sts land. At least one of the 1sts would need to be very early.

It really depends on the owner of Hunt...too me, Hunt is nothing more than a throw in at this point. I understand that is likely not the consensus on his value, but, I would not want to hold my breath until 2020 waiting on him. I would say at best its 50/50 he even stays out of trouble for the next 18 months (considering other incidents have popped up since the hotel incident). So, I agree with your thinking on what type of return you would need to deal away Chubb here.

Regardless of what the other piece is, Hunt will not be better. Hunt and Cook would be a good get, but not sure the other owner does that. I wouldn't do Hunt and Golladay.

I think Chubb is better than Cook by quite a bit. Chubb should get increased receiving opportunities, and Dalvin can't find the end zone. He's not a goal line back, and has been hurt 2 years in a row. I'd want a first added to Cook's side if I was trading Chubb.

For me.... Hunt means nothing in a chubb deal. Hell, he isnt on a team and could easily be blackballed similar to kaep & even ray rice if your in the camp that believes rice could still play.
