Pay 1.16 for Royce Freeman to cuff Lindsay?

I'm trying to shop Lindsay this offseason but in case I'm not able to, is paying 1.16 for Royce a reasonable price and strategy? If in the future I ever did want to sell, I could move them as a package. Or is Freeman just a turd? Any other Lindsay owners targeting Royce as a handcuff? What are you paying?

IMO watching freeman play he definitely is no turd, Lindsay just happens to be a truly special player. I definitely freeman is worth that pick as he should be a repeat of Tevin Coleman where he’s not stuffy but def useable

That seems really cheap to me. In most leagues freeman was prob drafted mid first. For someone to just give him away a year later for pick number 16 seems foolish.

I wouldn't say foolish is the right word. Freeman went higher than his talent based on the opportunity in Denver. All he had to do was beat out Booker for touches........... If I didn't own Lindsay, I'd probably rather have the 1.16, but makes perfect sense in your scenario and think the Tevin Coleman comp is spot on.

I just think it's foolish to draft someone at 1.04 and give him away for pick 16 one year later. For that return u would say hold him and hope for improvement.

Drafting him at 1.04 would have been foolish and in that scenario I agree with you. He was 1.8 to 1.12 in most of my leagues and to me that changes the scenario. I guess my overall opinion is you have to be able to admit you miss on players and move away before it is too late. How many years did Bishop Sankey stay on rosters? He was also drafted in the 1.04 range.

Good point. In my 10 team league start 2 qb freeman was drafted at 1.04 after Barkley mayfield and darnold. And not only was that a terrible pick they didn't get Lindsey

I have no problem with that trade. In a vacuum I'd probably prefer the pick, but it's fair.

I'd rather sell Lindsay than have both in case it turns into RBBC. But yes that's a good price for Royce

I was higher than most on Freeman this spring/summer, but that’s just crazy. I had him at 1.05 in 1QB, behind Barkley, Guice, Penny and Chubb. In 2QB, I would’ve had Mayfield and Jackson above him for sure, and probably Darnold and Rosen as well.

To the OP, I think 1.16 is a pretty fair price for him. I’m a Lindsay believer, but injuries happen, and I still believe Royce is a talented back and could be productive with a full workload.

You aren’t getting Freeman for the 1.16. Not gonna happen.

IF the other owner was dumb enough to offer that, I’d accept that deal and immediately start offering him deals for any other players he has.

I believe he went 1.03 in our league, was a massive bust of course, his owner traded him, Baldwin, and a third rounder for Sutton, Yeldon, and a 6th rounder.
