This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

ISO advice to keep this train rolling

Postby fakespike13 » Mon Dec 24, 2018 10:17 pm

Just secured B2B championships, 3rd win in 6 years. League is 16 teams with requirements to start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1TE, Def, K. 20 man active roster, 10 man taxi for rookies (1-2nd rounders can be taxied 1 yd, 3rd+ and FA for 2 years).

Team is in sig. What sort of roster concepts should I explore this offseason via trades and draft? I’ve stockpiled RBs and it paid off because my guys always seem to be getting hurt. My primary roster philosophy is depth, I wanted to be able to remain a legit contender even in the face of injuries to key players.

Here are my ideas:
1. Should I try to consolidate my RB depth into another top 5 RB beside Kamara? Something like Cook + Fournette + ? for Barkley or CMC?

2. Trade Lindsay for a stud WR like Kupp? RB are hard to come by in our large deep league and if you don’t have enough, you can be paralyzed for years. Not sure Kupp is an every week starter out the gate on my squad, but I’d love to have him.

3. Trade off excess talent for 2020 picks and hurt my odds at threepeating in 2019. I already intend to try to sell off dead weight for mid/late 2020’s, but maybe trading someone like Fournette or Cook for a bigger haul of 2020’s is a future proofing move.

What are your big picture strategies at maintaining a dominant dynasty team?

I'd consider the Lindsay for Kupp trade but I wouldn't do the Cook+LF for Barkley or CMC. In a 16 team league depth is king and trading 2 top 12 RB's for 1 just seems like a really risky move. Yeah it definitely would help your starting lineup but if Kamara or that other Rb goes down you are now looking really really thin at RB. have 4 potential RB1/RB2 starters each and every week in a 16 team league seems like a true luxury I wouldn't get rid of

i would definitely pursue the Kupp for Lindsay trade assuming it has been offered...if not, the Lindsay injury may have killed any hope of that trade..
i agree that depth in a 16 league is more important
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris
