Corey Davis plus what equals AJ Green?

Looking to make a playoff push and try to win it, and I’m contemplating trying to add AJ Green. His owner is really big on him, and he’s asking for Corey Davis, a rd 1, and possibly more. Am I way off base thinking that this is an overpay? I have a hard time judging the value of older players. Thx.

I think the perceived value of Davis is what is hard to get past here. IF Green can stay healthy he is a much better option then Davis. I guess it more depends on how you feel about Davis in the coming years. I personally would not make the deal

Corey Davis had had 2 good FF games in a year and a half of football, I can't blame him for asking for that.

I dont blame him for asking, but a late first, Corey Davis, and them some for AJG is too rich me. AJG is 30, will be 31 before the start of next season. In terms of age, this is typically when the decline starts to become noticeable.

Corey Davis to a rebuilder should equal AJG to a contender. Maybe a late 1st but I'd rather just hold Davis at that point

Corey Davis is such a target machine I just have a hard time thinking he's not going to be good. Might take the long painful Stefon Diggs road into fantasy relevance

His upside is easily worth two 2nds!

Green's injury is a definite concern down the stretch. I'm holding Davis until I see Green at full health. And even then, I'm not adding a 1st.

Yeah if AJG was playing at top 5 level rest of season then MAYBE Davis + late 1st but as of right now he's dealing with a nagging toe injury that could hamper him down the stretch not to mention the Bengals offense is trending down. I'd look for a different WR for less perceived value like TY Hilton if you are looking to make a run this year

Yes you are. He's only 23 years old and really only has close to a full season under his belt since his rookie year he missed all of training camp and was dealing with a hamstring injury the entire season. He's got the prototypical size/speed and play making ability you want to see in a stud WR and was a top 5 draft pick. I know its frustrating when you see players like Juju or Golladay produce sooner rather than later but not all WR's come out of the gate swinging and take time to develop, take Davante Adams for instance who had a prime opportunity as a year 2 WR with Jordy Nelson out to be the #1 guy on an Aaron Rodgers offense and he completely failed, then came out in year three with 12 TDs and year 4 was a top 12 WR with a backup Qb and finally now in his 5th year in the NFL is a top 5 WR.

While the box score isn't encouraging, he's got the 2nd highest target percentage in the league only behind Dhop and as we all know opportunity is king in Fantasy. The hope is that Mariota/Lafleur offense can figure things out down the road and improve as a whole because that's really the only thing holding Davis back. Mariota has missed him on a stupid amount of deep passes and open touchdowns.

Keep Davis! I owned Green the past few years and he NEVER performs in playoffs, plus the fact that he's been injured the past few years and he's on his last legs. Keep Davis and your first.
