Offer for Rodgers (SF)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Offer for Rodgers (SF)

Postby Bay City Original » Tue Nov 20, 2018 7:23 pm

This past season saw me underachieving and going into a rebuild mode to avoid being a perennial mediocre team. This trade came to me today:

I Give: ARodgers, Ingram, DJax
I Get: Stafford, Michel, Keenum, Crowell, 2019 2nd (#3-5) and 2020 1st

Notables on my SuperFlex squad:
QB: Rodgers, Luck, Mayfield
RB: Ingram, Duke, Penny
WR: Cooper, CDavis, Fuller
TE: Howard
2019: 1st (3), 2nd (3)
2020: 1st (2), 2nd (1)

I’m looking for opinions about the value of this trade... thanks!

Take Ingram and Keenum out and I'm good with it. Keenum holds value due to SF but does little for your team. I wouldnt be buying him as part of this

Seems like good value. But I'd be hesitant to include Ingram. I'd try to take him out along with maybe Crowell and the 2nd? And Keenum?
I think the core of Rodgers for Stafford/Sony/2020 1st seems pretty good.

Easy pass, IMO.

Stafford is not a QB that will win you a league. Crowell and Keenum are guys that you like on your bench. A 2019 2nd and a random 2020 1st don't do that much for especially given the picks that you have.

Having a due of Rodgers and Luck (with an ascending Mayfield), however, can cover up a lot of holes. If you make this trade, you simply open up more holes in roster -- Rodgers to Stafford is a monumental drop; who knows about Michel?; the picks are just that -- without really solving anything else.

You actually have some good talent on your team, and your 5 1st-round picks in the next two years can fill it out quite nicely or be used to trade for veteran players. I see this trade as moving your from a retool to a rebuild without any noticeable assets coming back in return.

So, easy pass, IMO.

I would do it. I like Michel more than Ingram for Dynasty. How many more years does Rodgers have? I like the other pieces including the'20 1st. You have Mayfield, so Rodgers is expendable since not competing this year.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR

I like the trade but similarly to others, I would do your best to not have Ingram in that deal. I'd maybe try trading Ingram for a 2019 1st. Since your not competing this year.
