Lindsay for a mid/late first- new offer as well *HUNT DEAL COMPLETED*

Now I know Lindsay is worth the first. I’ve read multiple post and decided this would be a fair trade but I don’t know where I would slot him for team 2 in my sig. I know it would give me the depth I need (plus I already have Royce) and I’m not hurting for WR right now hence why I’m considering giving up my 2019 first. I’m in first right now by two games with three left to play until playoffs. I’m trying to make a move to bolster this push. Do you think this would be a good move for my team?? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: owner just came back and he would do the original trade or Kareem Hunt FOR Aaron Jones and Marlon Mack. How do you folks feel about that?

I don't understand this comment. It sounds like you really like Freeman, but to protect your Freeman RB investment, you'd give a late 2019 1st for Lyndsay. That's like offering a late first to the Kerryon Johnson owner, you know because you have Theo Riddick...

As a Lyndsay owner, I want nothing to do with Freeman, and certainly not where owners would value Freeman at now after wasting a 1st round pick on him. Freeman stock rose this year because of his preceived value to have strong RB2, with RB1 upside THIS year. That has not happened.

I'm not sure the point of your argument? I said giving a late 1st to acquire Lindsay is a solid deal and I'd be happy to give that. Not really that high on Freeman but he has flashed as a rookie as well and could be a very solid option with a full workload. For someone trying acquire a young RB to add depth to his roster for only 1 mid/late 1st the best you are going to do is someone like Lindsay and its an even better deal for those that already own Freeman as a high upside handcuff/hedge against Lindsay losing touches in 2019. Trying to compare Theo Riddick to Freeman is quite absurd. For one Theo riddick is a change of pace back regardless of who is in front of him whereas Freeman has the size/skill set to be a workhorse if forced into that role and has potential high upside (why people drafted him where they did) and secondly acquiring Kerryon is a lot more expensive than acquiring Lindsay so yeah more expensive Rb and a crappier handcuff is a dumb comparison. I get you don't want to pay up for what most owners of Freeman would want since you already own Lindsay and I would agree with you on that if I was in your shoes but if you so happened to own Freeman it makes perfect sense to target Lindsay.

Again it's a solid deal to target lindsay regardless of whether you own freeman or not because there isn't a better RB you can get for a late/mid 1st as of right now I don't think but it makes even more sense if you so happen to already own his handcuff in Freeman who despite your desperate wishes could easily take a lot of snaps from Lindsay in future years. Not saying that will happen or even that I think it will but I've seen flashes in the pan from runningbacks all too often that fade away from year to year.

I think when you value players and compare them to draft picks you have to ask yourself is the rookie worth more than that player your trading?
If Lindsay was available and you had a choice of say the #4 or #5 rookie or Lindsay who would you choose. I know who I'd pick.
There are very high rated rookies who flop all the time. Then there is the UDFA that can actually play in the NFL.
I think, my opinion, Lindsay has a lot more value than some people realize.

Also, I don't think the 2019 rookie class will be all that exciting.
