This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

We will see how Cook continues to progress now that he seems to be healthy finally. On the surface, I like the deal

I feel like that is a lot to give up for a RB that is always injured, but that's just me. I think you could have subtracted the second or possibly even the first.

I think that might end up being a bad trade, but we shall see. It depends on how the Hawks use Penny in the future. I actually prefer Penny if they ever decide to use him.

yikes...perhaps the viking fan in me got a little too excited...i think with dalvin on my roster this season, i might have a chance to get in the playoffs...but there is also a chance that i end up exactly where i am (7th place)...

Yeah I dont like that trade at all... Penny looks good when they give it to him. Dalvin isnt even the best RB on his team imo... he may be better athlete than Murray but at this point he isnt a better NFL RB.. Ive seen Cook going for a mid first, but not two firsts anywhere. Huge overpay imo

Penny is overrated, and I hate his worth ethic. Time will tell but I am so glad my league was hyped on him allowing Chubb to fall to me. Right now it seems like a lot to give for Cook, but if you can snag Murray as the handcuff you will always have a piece of that backfield. I don't see Carson relinquishing Seattle's backfield completely yet.

I find it funny how down people are on Dalvin. I'm a big Penny fan and think he'll be a solid back but Dalvin is easily worth Penny plus and early 1st IMO. Anyone who thinks Murray is a better back than Cook has lost all my confidence in football opinions.

thanks all...i don't have murray on my team...but i do have abdullah...lol
the team with murray has an abundance of WRs (my weakness)
i am thinking about sending an offer for hilton...sadly i sent the offer before games and he messaged me that he didn't have time before the games start to look/counter etc...
but i think i will make some sort of offer for hilton...including royce freeman and probably a 1st....the first will probably be late...
something like...give royce, godwin and 1st for hilton and latavius

is that a move you would make for my team...admittedly, i don't know much about the incoming rookie class, so i don't know what WRs might be available late in the rookie draft

Cain is a great stash to get on top of that deal. I too may be in the minority, but I like the original move for you. For your second thought, I’m not opposed to targeting the forever undervalued Hilton, but I’m not sure I’d move Godwin with that deal. Is TY worth what’s essentially 3 varying first round values? I say no.

Cook was an early first, and so was Penny when originally drafted. Why has Dalvin suddenly become "easily"worth an EXTRA early first? He had a few good games last year, got hurt, came back, got hurt again, and hasn't done all that much this year. I don't think that's worth an extra early first, but that's just me.

This is a good point. Both players were early 1sts in their respective rookie drafts. Most had Penny or Michel as the overall 3rd pick. Theoretically, they should be a straight up trade, but since Cook had a couple of good games last year people think he’s worth more.

As for the trade, I see it as...
Gallup = Cain
Penny, 1st, 2nd > Cook

I would have probably added a 2nd on top of Penny if I needed immediate production for this year. Cook still has a small sample size and we are almost done with his 2nd year, big overpay imo.

whats funny about it? the dude isnt giving anyone much reason to be high on him, you would have to be a strange individual to not be down on him after the way his career has gone so far.
