TY Hilton Trade - Feel free to share your take

Postby ArrylT » Fri Nov 16, 2018 10:19 am

16 team idp ppr league.

Give: 2019 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Get: TY Hilton

Team getting Hilton 8-2
Team getting picks 4-6

8 team playoffs - 8-2 team clinched playoffs so best pick can be is 1.09

Start requirements

1 QB
3 RB
4 WR
1 TE
1 Flex

---

2 of 16 owners 'objected' to deal. One owner is insistent that the team getting TY Hilton is either being blindly robbed or is colluding to give other team an unfair advantage in 2019 draft.

I'd think a 2019 first and second would have been enough for TY. I think the third is a little much, but both sides seem to benefit from it, so it's not terrible. I'd probably lean the picks though because TY is 29.

Smart trade for both owners. TY owner shedding an aging WR for great compensation, in a season where he isn't competing.

Owner of team obtaining TY is adding a starting WR in a win-now move.

The two owners whining should go take a hike, and the rest of the league should call them out.

Agreed and speed is a big part of his game. I could wrong but he seems to get injured and miss a couple weeks every year (over the last few). But with aging WR's speed is usually the first thing to go. However, Luck seems to be back to his old self so you should still get at least 2 more good seasons out him. Long story longer, pretty even trade.

I went with picks side, but think the trade is fair.

Both sides seem to benefit. Since this is a 16 team league and those picks are late, I might even lean towards the Hilton side. Why is collusion an option?

I was being a smart alec. But at the same time giving people who I think are delusional (if they think this is collusion) the chance to vote the way they want.

Appreciate that. I've rarely owned Hilton so didnt take into account his skill set is partially speed based involved. He would be my WR4-5 as my top 3 WR are

Adams
Juju
ARob

my bench WRs are Reynolds, Moncrief, J. Washington & Treadwell.

With Luck, I'd need more to trade TY.
