Zay Jones forward thinking
Is Zay Jones a good buy low candidate? He has progressed pretty nicely this year although his points don't really reflect that due to the putrid system he is in. What does everyone think Zay looks like down the road a year or 2?

Progressed nicely? This weekend was the first time I heard his name since he got naked and tried to jump off a 12th floor balcony.

Again, I know his stats are not great based on the system, but he leads his team in receptions, yards and targets. Does that translate to more success down the road? This is the progression I was referring to.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 3:22 pm Progressed nicely? I like him. If you read/watch anything Bills related you've noticed he has improved every week. He has so much stink on him for 3 reasons.
1... last season
2... the off season incident
3... the Bills.
Addressing 1. He gets way too much flak. He literally played the entire season with a torn labrum or rotator cuff, cant remember which exactly. His father even came out and said Zay couldnt pick up a coffee cup without being in pain. He was also in the midst of a breakout game vs the Texans I think and got injured on a dirty play.
Addressing 2. Cant defend this one. He was being an idiot.
Addressing 3. Cant really defend this one either. Although what you can hope for is a regime change and Josh Allens and his cannon of an arm improving and getting the ball to Jones.
He looks good if you've watched him play. And my core belief in dynasty is talent trumps situation. I just picked him up an hour ago off waivers. So I'm in with you.

What would you pay to acquire him? I offered a 2019 3rd and got rejected. Don’t blame the other owner for keeping for that price, but I don’t think I would be a buyer at a 2nd.

I was considering offering Ballage. The Jones owner is high on Ballage.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:08 pm What would you pay to acquire him? I offered a 2019 3rd and got rejected. Don’t blame the other owner for keeping for that price, but I don’t think I would be a buyer at a 2nd.

I wouldnt buy for a 2nd either at this time. A Ballage type player is something I would give up for sure.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:08 pm What would you pay to acquire him? I like him, he has really no value in trades so I’d keep him and wait for him to develop with Allen and become a decent wr3 at best

I mean if you believe in him, then sure go buy low. I wouldn't go crazy and pay more than a mid 3rd though...

Re: Zay Jones forward thinking
3rd rounder or comparable guy is the highest I'd go. I'm legitamately concerned that offseason incident was some kind of psychotic break or schizophrenic onset, I'm honest to god worried about his mental health.
Re: Zay Jones forward thinking
Unfortunately I live in western NY and can only see the Bills play, or nap if possible with my kids. The Bills are in the middle of a rebuild and they have $50+ mill in dead cap space. The team won’t fire the gm or coach and it will be another two years of them easily. I’m not a big fan. Yes the offense is poor, but he has nobody in his way taking targets from him and he hasn’t stood out, yet. Possibly he can. If you can buy, cheap, very cheap, and stash him I’d take a shot.

I think the belief is he was on some kind of synthetic marijuana.
