Smith or Samuels?
Smith or Samuels?
Hey guys, I am sitting in 5th and I need to win this week. My TE slot is very weak. I am going to drop Uzomah and pick up either Jaylen Samuels or Jonnu Smith. With Samuels being a RB/TE in my yahoo league and Conner being banged up do you think he would be the better pick up to start at TE?

Re: Smith or Samuels?
I would stash samuels.. smith has had run this year without delanie healthy and not done much. rather take the risk with samuels

Re: Smith or Samuels?
I'm going to guess that Conner plays, which makes Samuels not startable. In which case, I'd rather have Uzomah or Smith if you're looking for immediate production.
Or you can just drop a kicker and D and pick up both while keeping Uzomah.

Re: Smith or Samuels?
his whole team didn't do much to be fair. I don't think he'll become a Walker, but he's getting some more looks.
unless Samuels gets a lot of carries (which I don't see happening as he wasn't very good last week), they're both TD dependent, and Smith has more of a chance.
on the long run, Samuels looks like a gadget player, Smith may become an ok TE.

Re: Smith or Samuels?
Smith is definitely the better bye-week pickup and long-term add. Samuels is like a Kyle Juszczyk type who is unlikely to be fantasy relevant in the future, and definitely not this week assuming Conner is active (he has 10 days to clear concussion protocol with no history of concussion issues). Smith is the TE1 on an improving TEN offense.
