MVS Offer

Postby Faulkner13 » Sat Nov 10, 2018 4:57 am

An offer came in for MVS in one of my devy leagues.

Give: Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Get: Demaryius Thomas and a 2020 1st (likely late)

Thoughts?

Edit: Have added the team to my profile. I’m currently 5-4.

Competing or not, I’d take this deal. If competing you get a 1st plus a serviceable WR. If not competing, you get a 1st and can try to flip DT. Win win imo

In a vacuum without seeing your roster I'd wouldn't do it. I'm also not a fan of trading ascending assets for picks 2 yrs out. MVS value will continue to rise being tied to Rodgers and may be worth much more by the time the 2020 draft approaches. Plus it is hard to project how high that pick may be. DT has very little value IMO to flip for anything of value.

I think this is a really good offer, but I would hold MVS for that

I voted yes to the DT side and I own MVS. Dt is over the hill but serviceable and everything ive heard is the 2020 draft class is stacked.

With Cobb not expected to return next year mvs is definitely ascending quickly. Adams is sure to get the double coverage, thus leaving mvs with a ton of single matchups. Rodgers seems to be trusting him more and more. Adam Caplan, from espn and the fantasy guru radio show with John Hansen, said last week to grab him if he's available for dynasty. He's heard that mvs is quickly gaining the trust of Rodgers with the absence of Allison. He's big and athletic and has been making some nice plays already. I snagged him off waivers last week, and I'm holding strong.

after holding onto adams since his rookie year and watching his value increase year after year to the point hes at now being a top 5 dynasty wr its hard for me to part with mvs. I know its not the most likely hes going to end up being as valuable as adams is right now 2-3 years from now but he could and i would be sick if i sold adams 3 years ago for lets say for example brandon marshall and a future 1st. so i think i would hold. but deff a fair offer!

This is all really helpful. Thanks.

I’ve added the devy team to my signature for further context. I’m currently 5-4. I will say that the devy aspect makes a likely late 1st a lot less valuable in my experience.

Leaning on holding but still undecided

A devy depleted 2020 1st?!? You better hold. Thats practically giving MVS away.
