POLL - Settle a friendly disagreement about team strengths...

Postby joeday » Tue Nov 06, 2018 5:59 pm

So my friend and I have been in our main league together since we started it in 1996. Each of us like to play the underdog. He thinks I do it more than him, I think he does it me than me lol. This year I really do believe he has the better team. He points to me being 9-0 (he is 8-1) and 100 total points ahead of him. I point to AJ Green being hurt and Conner losing value going forward as Bell returns. Basically he is looking backward while I am looking ahead.

Here are our teams in a NON PPR league:

Bombers
QB - Drew Brees
RB - Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon
WR - Mike Evans, Julian Edelman (assuming AJ Green is out)
TE - Jack Doyle (or Trey Burton)
FLEX - James Conner (or AJ Green if he is healthy and Bell takes over)

Lounge Lizards
QB - Patrick Mahomes (or Tom Brady)
RB - Alvin Kamara, James White
WR - Odell Beckham Jr, Michael Thomas
TE - George Kittle (or Rob Gronkowski)
FLEX - David Johnson (or Robert Woods)

So if these two teams meet in the championship game week 16 who would be favored?

I’m a simple man. I see Gurley in standard, I don’t bet against Gurley.

Any given week with all those studs... that being said I like Mahomes more at QB and Kittle over Burton. However, your RB could go absolutely NUTS

So as much as I'm sad that his team is quite a bit better than me I feel vindicated that I am right calling myself the underdog lol

Bombers pretty easily for me in Non-PPR. PPR it would be different but Gurley/Gordon is a bigger advantage than the QB/TE advantage of the Lizards.
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K
QB P. Mahomes, J. Goff, B Zappe (TS)
RB S. Barkley, N. Chubb, R. Stevenson, T. Pollard, J. Cook, K. Herbert, A. Mattison, E. Mitchell
WR AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, C. Kupp, A. Cooper, D. Hopkins, DJ Moore, B. Aiyuk, R. Doubs, K. Boutte (TS), C. Tillman (TS), M. Wilson (TS)
TE M. Andrews
Def Patriots, Ravens
