Trading for Odell

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading for Odell

Postby AussieMate » Fri Oct 19, 2018 9:46 pm

So I sent out a feeler to Odell owner of my Kareem Hunt and a 2019 1st for Odell.
He just sent back Kareem, Kelce and Josh Gordon for his Odell.
I have Mixon, Ingram, Conner and Chubb at RB and I also have Hunter Henry and Kittle at TE so I could potentially cover those loses.
What are people's thoughts on this? I'm thinking of swapping out Gordon for something smaller like John Brown or something along those lines.

I would not give up that much for one player. I don't know what your other WRs look like, but I would rather build on the young cornerstones of Hunt, Mixon, Kelce, and try to deal Chubb or Conner for a WR, as opposed to trading too many chips for one player.
12 team standard (start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 2DL, 2LB, 2DB)
QB: TLaw, Watson
RB: ETN, Bijan, A. Jones, AJ Dillon, Charbs, Rochon
WR: AJ Brown, ARSB, G Wilson, London, Pickens, Bateman, Mims
TE: Njoku, Kmet

I’m gonna pile on and say no. OBJ is a great player but he isn’t worth it.

No way, I may be the minority but I'm not certain I'd accept Odell for Hunt straight up. Eli is pathetic and Barkley should get almost all the love in the redzone. Odell is legit but something is wrong up in NY.

Way to much to give up. ODB was ELITE, but not in the current situation. Hunt is very good. Kelce is ELITE TE, and Gordon despite his risks could be at top 10 WR with Brady. Don't know your WR situation, so don't know if it will help. But WR are easier to find than RB's. Kelce's don't grow on trees either.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR

Thanks guys, yeah I haven't gone any further with this as this owner is notorious for being hard to trade with.
I have AJ green but have been struggling for a few years with Davis Arob and Cooper. Have wanted a stud Wr to plug with Green for a while but wasn't too willing to give so much up.
I'll keep talking but pretty sure he expects Kelce with Hunt and won't add to his side. It's annoying because he has Odell Adams Hopkins and M.Thomas so he is stacked at WR but has struggled to get a good RB (probably because he expects too much back)
