Barkley deal

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Barkley deal

Postby Luke7799 » Thu Oct 18, 2018 10:35 am

My team:

QB: Rosen, Beathard
RB: Barkely, Michel, Mixon, Guice, Gio B, Burkhead, Foreman, Alf Morris
WR: Robby Anderson, K Cole, DJ Moore, Allison, Enunwa, Tawyon Taylor (other various lotto types)
TE : Njoku, J Smith

I took this team over last year and the draft just fell to me taking a bunch of RB's as WR's went earlier than expected.

I have an offer on the table for Barkley.

I give Barkley
I get: K Allen, Josh Gordon, Courtland Sutton, and a mid 1

This would give me 3 1sts all project mid to early for next year as well.

I think it may be a little light for Barkley but may serve my team better in the long term
Too many to list....I have a problem

I don't think it's bad value. However, i don't think you need to make this move. Build around that young core of RBs and try to package a WR with Gio to get the upgrade at WR.
1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1Flex(RB/WR/TE)
12 team .5 PPR Full Dynasty
QB: A.Rodgers
RB: Gurley, DJ, CMC, Hunt, AJ Dillon, Penny
WR: M.Thomas, Theilen, Evans, Slayton, Boyd, Renfrow
TE: Kittle, Hurst
K: Lutz
Def: Pats, Seattle

2020 - 2x 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th...

I can't speak of the trade as I'm just not sure. But what Russty said. Keep those RB's, next year is a WR heavy draft. You have some firsts already. See what your team looks like after next years draft. I doubt Barkley's value is changing that much in that time frame.

unlikely.
Keenan is good, Sutton is a very nice prospect, Gordon has low value (for me at least...). but Barkley kicks arse and it's his first season!
Sure there's a 1st rounder included but you already have two.

a balanced team with no studs is unlikely to get you anywhere.
either get more out of Barkley, or use a different rebuilding strategy.

Keep Barkley, the value is decent but Barkley is almost irreplaceable. Getting a young Top 5 bellcow RB is almost impossible, it would have to be a clear win and massive overpay for me to give him up, this is not that.

I'd have to give my entire starting lineup for Barkley in my league! He is a top 3 RB already and is extremely young, hang on to him! He is one of the three most valuable players in dynasty right now. I'd try to build around him unless you get something really insane.

id take that package for barkley. allen and a first should be enough.

id ask for a rb rather than gordon tho

Dak , Herbert

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr

Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

I agree with everything said above. To trade Barkley at this point it would have to be an INSANE overpay. This is decent but nowhere close to what it would take to move Barkley. Keep him unless you get an offer you cannot refuse.
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K
QB P. Mahomes, J. Goff, B Zappe (TS)

Strongly disagree with this. I wouldn't take the package stated by the OP, yet alone this.
Team 1. 12 team. 1 PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX 2017 2nd, 2018 2nd, 2019 1st, 2020 1st, 2021 2nd, 2022 1st

WR - J. Jefferson, Diggs, AJ Brown, T. Higgins, M. Thomas, Cooks, Bateman, R. Moore, C. Tillman, J. Hyatt, D. Parker
TE - Kelce, J. Ferguson
2024 - 1,2,3,4,5
2025 - 1,2,3,4,5

Team 2. 12 team. .5 PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX 2019 1st, 2020 1st, 2021 2nd, 2023 Full rebuild mode
QB - Tua

WR - London, J. Downs, R. Rice, Burks, J. Jeudy, A. Pierce, C. Tillman, R. Bell, D. Parker, D. Slayton, Cooks

Value is probably close, but like people have said above me Barkley along with your other young RBs are perfect to build this team around. Throw in those firsts you have, you can grab some WRs and watch your team grow. If you find you need more WR's you could always move a different RB next year once your roster shakes out a bit more. I'm very high on Sutton too.

Barkley might be the #1 pick in start ups next year. I would need a crazy offer to even consider moving him.

uhhhh is Keenan's value that low now, I mean I've been low on him but I'd buy him if it's this
I'd take that for my Barkley share

Replace Gordon with something better and take the offer.

Man, with that team I would stay put. Lots of solid WR's coming out this year, and your RB situation is set for years to come. I don't like that value for Barkley anyways. Like Goddard suggested, if you're going to pull the trigger on the proposed deal, Gordon needs to be swapped with a better established player. Barkley is a top 5 RB and those aren't replaceable.
12 TEAM SUPERFLEX, TE Premium, 25 man rosters
QB - | Rodgers | Herbert | Mills
RB - CMC | Chubb | Dobbins | Keaontay Ingram
WR - McLaurin | Deebo | Waddle | Gabriel Davis | Elijah Moore | Mooney | C Ridley | Jameson Williams | Pickens | Alec Pierce | Wan'dale Robinson | Justyn Ross | B Edwards
TE - M Andrews | Friermuth

2023 Picks: 1st round(2), 2nd round(2), 3rd round (2)

I'm not real high on Keenan, could just be me though.
