I love Conner but that is a crazy overpay. You are basically giving Freeman and Godwin away for free. Conner is probably worth just the picks here in this deal. Way too much uncertainty surrounding his situation to pay that type of price.

Really? I would do that in a heartbeat. Conner is RB5 at 24ppg. I don't think Freeman is even close to that territory when healthy. I know there is some drama with Le'Veon to factor in, but I think Conner>>>Freeman. Freeman on IR now too hurts. I'm not sure Ito or a newly drafted RB isn't carrying the load for ATL next season. Conner has done nothing but prove he is a no-nonsense punishing RB1 in that offense. Freeman looks done to me.

I view Conner as very much a product of his situation. I question whether or not he has any long term value. If I'm playing merely for the short term, I'd make that trade. But for 2019 and beyond, I'd rather have Freeman.

thank you all for the quick responses...i pulled the offer...but my team is really struggling for a RB and i do think he would provide me with a playoff spot....

If you're going to make a crazy offer like that, at least aim higher. You should be able to get a solid starting RB for far less than that. I wouldn't mortgage the future of my team on James Conner's future.

Also...if you're not currently confident you're even going to make the playoffs why massively overpay for a running back only to maybe make the playoffs and then probably lose? I'd never overpay that much for a player, but if I ever did it'd be because I think I'm one piece away from a title, not so I can sneak into the playoffs.

thanks for the response...i absolutely think i would make the playoffs with another RB
my WRs are incredible...Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Arob....with Boyd, Godwin, JoBrown, Sutton (among others) on the bench
so adding another RB to DJ would put me in a really good place

Why do you feel you need to give up THAT much to get Conner though? And if you need to give up that much for an RB, why does it need to be Conner? Even if the Conner owner is digging in his heels, you should be able to get someone like Collins, White, Cohen, Ingram or Breida for much less OR you should be able to get someone much more valuable for that price. I'd at a minimum ask around to see what the Gurley, Zeke, Kamara, Gordon, CMC, Hunt and Barkley owners think of that price (and frankly you should be able to get some of them for less). I'd be surprised if one of them (particularly a rebuilding team) didn't jump on that.
