Thielen for Michel+

Postby lukkyseven » Wed Oct 17, 2018 5:44 am

I'm 3 and 3 with team 2 in my signature. Above middle of the pack, competing for my division.

Current offer is Thielen for Michel, Agholor, mid 2019 2nd and (yes this is strange, but has value) an upgrade at O-Line. Yes this league uses O-Line. So leave that out as it's hard to value, but does carry some added weight.

It's fairly terrible to be honest. The fact that it's a 16 team league and you're required to have two means none are ever available to stream.

You get points for passing first downs, rushing first downs, rush and passing yards. You lose points for sacks... but at least we don't have a kicker!

Is this a fair trade though or would you guys just recommend it because I have absolutely no RB's that are producing. As well as having a little bit of depth at the WR spot?

Haha that sounds horrendous! I wouldn't have a clue where to start.

Who are your "Elite" O Liners, im guessing NE, GB, ATL etc who put up points every week?

Eww. Probably KC, LAR as well. Worst would be teams like BUF and TEN. It's basically just team offense...

Ultimately I've decided to pass on this trade. I feel a lot of Michel's value comes from Brady. Despite what he says, I don't expect him to be there in 2+ years.

Thielen is currently the #1 scoring WR in fantasy, but I agree that the age difference makes Michel and Thielen fairly close in value. If I was rebuilding or in the middle of the pack, I'd move Thielen for Michel, Agholor, and a 2nd.

Very interesting... I'm not impressed with what I've seen from Michel to think he's going to sustain the kind of production he's had the last couple of weeks. I definitely value Thielen more and Agholor/2nd isn't going to close the gap. I'd expect a late 1st round pick to do it.

I just think Thielen (even at 30) is going to be good for at least another 3 years. He's a slot guy, so they seem to maintain scoring better. Even though he's 30, he's a lot fresher at 30 than someone who's been playing for 9 years.

NE RB's still scare me. I know they drafted him to be their guy, but we'll see. It's more of a chance than Thielen (at least in my opinion). If/when Brady leaves, his value plummets.

The counter to that statement is that my RB situation is trash and next years crop looks like I have a better shot at sticking a WR compared to a RB.
