Re: Difference between Penny and Michel?
I respectfully disagree. Strongly disagree. They are both extremely talented backs, one just happens to be in a very difficult situation on a rebuilding team. The other is on a team that is a perennial AFC Superbowl favorite with quite possibly the greatest QB of all time. Situation means a lot, and effects a lot.
12 TEAM SUPERFLEX, TE Premium, 25 man rosters
QB - | Rodgers | Herbert | Mills
RB - CMC | Chubb | Dobbins | Keaontay Ingram
WR - McLaurin | Deebo | Waddle | Gabriel Davis | Elijah Moore | Mooney | C Ridley | Jameson Williams | Pickens | Alec Pierce | Wan'dale Robinson | Justyn Ross | B Edwards
TE - M Andrews | Friermuth
2023 Picks: 1st round(2), 2nd round(2), 3rd round (2)

One got the starting job due to injuries, and has looked great since.Dirty Mike&the Boyz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 11:22 amI respectfully disagree. Strongly disagree. The other can't beat out a 7th rounder and a journeyman RB who had less than 400 rushing yards and 200 receiving yards in his combined first 3 years in the NFL.

Do you have a link to the Patriots having Penny higher?Elroypedro wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 10:00 pmPatriots scouted Penny as the better back just fyi. Seems like the difference is 110% situation

You're missing the point of the OP. It wasn't can Michel be a workhorse. He wanted to know the difference between Penny and Michel.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 10:01 pmNo, it isn't. I'm talking about sustaining it. Not 3 games. We don't know if Michel can do it consistently, like a lot of other backs coming out of college with more carries could. The jury is still out on Michel as a workhorse, as he has never been one.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 4:02 pm25, 18 and 24 carries isn't enough for you? Hate to break it to you but theres not many backs out there that are getting more touchesFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 3:20 pm We have never seen Sony be a lead back, either. When does he hit a wall, or does he? He's always been light in the carry department. Can he hold up? Situation short term is ideal, but they are making no effort to throw him the ball, and as long as White is there, I don't think they will.
The major difference is situation. But I also drafted Michel at #3 and would have waited until the 5-7 range for Penny.
Re: Difference between Penny and Michel?
Penny was above Michel in my ranks I think by a spot or 2. Shame on me. Glad I still grabbed Sony in a trade
