Looking to trade for a better WR3.

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Looking to trade for a better WR3.

Postby Jcedwards » Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:19 am

I have 2 elite WRs that I start every week (barring injury and bye weeks) in OBJ and M Thomas. After that though, I don't have a WR that I can really count on, as the rest are very inconsistent. Who should I look at packaging together and who should I look at trying to acquire?

We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, 1 D/ST, 1 K, so I would really like to upgrade my 2nd FLEX spot as it is normally Howard that goes there. With that said, I'd ideally like to package Howard with someone, but I don't know what his value is right now.

Like the 3 RB you have so you have 1 flex covered and would likely fill the other with your 3rd WR

I'm thinking Howard and Cooper could get you in talks for a Keenan Allen type or Golladay. Probably not Julio but you never know.

If you didnt want to give up both players, I'd see if the Sanders owner was looking to sell. Same with Boyd or Jarvis

Thanks. For the most part I am set with those top 3 RB's at my RB and 1 of my FLEX spots. And I already have my 2 WR slots full, so I really would like to keep those 5 players on my team.

Golladay was 1 that I was contemplating. Howard and Cooper were the 2 that I had thought about packaging together, but wasn't exactly sure what I could get for them with Cooper being so up and down and Howard being inefficient the last 2 games. I definitely don't mind packaging those two together if the package is right. I really like Cooper, but he just hasn't been getting it done. Maybe a change of scenery (if he is traded), will help him out?

Others I have thought of (some of course will cost more than others):

Edelman
Diggs
Tate
Juju

No way you get either Diggs or JuJu for Cooper and Howard. I think Tate and Edelman are overpays for Howard and Cooper. Howard should still retrieve good value. It was just 2 games

Oh no I didn't mean getting either of those 2 for Howard and Cooper. Just saying that I was interested in those other options in addition to the ones that you said. I know Juju and Diggs would cost more than those 2. Maybe more than I really want to spend for a WR3.

I'd package Godwin and Hines. Godwin has the most value outside of your top 2 WRs and Hines is a good sell high (might be a week late though).

What kind of WR do you think I could get with packaging those 2?

I think you could go for a guy like Allison who has put up 18,12,16,14 (missed 1 week) for stability at the position. He is young and the dynasty community doesnt really value him so you could get him cheaply I'd think. He is also tied to Rodgers which is a huge plus, and Cobb could be gone next season.

I checked in with Sanders owner and he asked for Howard straight up for Sanders. Is this a no brainer? Or should I hold onto Howard?

I heard rumblings that Howard was on the trading block, so if he does get traded to a team that uses him better, his usage will spike up again. Our league is currently 1 point per 3 rushing attempts, but Howard honestly hasn’t gotten too many attempts lately. He doesn’t seem to fit the scheme that Nagy wants to do, so he could be traded to a team better suited for him. We are taking away the 1 pt per 3 rushing attempts after this year though. Plus he hasn’t gotten many TD’s this year, which limits him as well.

How far off is Godwin and Howard for Juju? What else would need to be added?

Also thinking about Adams. What else would need to be added to Howard and Godwin OR Sutton to get Adams?

I'd throw in a 1st for either and never look back. Both of those guys are way better than a WR3

And Howard is your 4th back at this point. Youd be set up! Elite players 3 RB and 3 WR deep

QB: Mahomes
RB: Barkley
RB: Kamara
WR: OBJ
WR: MT
FLEX: Mixon
FLEX: JuJu
TE: Njoku/Burton

:wtf:

I was able to get Sanders for Hines and Westbrook. Was able to sell high on Hines after a couple of good games and Westbrook has seemed to be the favorite target of Bortles. Thought I did really well on that one.

Yea that’s a good idea. While I like having a 1st, if I can get a stud WR, I will do that. May look at packaging Sanders now if I can since he is up there in age.
