Im 4-1, in first place, and the highest scoring team in the league. If Sammy Watkins had caught one 5 yard pass before going out with a strained labia on Monday night a couple of weeks ago i'd be 5-0.
I made an offer to an 0-5 team for his Davante Adams. (I offered Chubb/Godwin/Cole/Washinton). I was perfectly willing to add to it or modify the offer. This is the counteroffer he sent me
I give: Gurley/Dalton/Cole/Godwin
Now ordinarily when i see Gurley or Kamara in a trade proposal i just shut it down. But.....
I get: Adams/Dalvin Cook/Royce Freeman/LatMurray/Deshawn Watson
Which would make my roster:
Watson/Bortles
Kamara/McCaffrey/Cook/Chubb/Freeman/Murray
Adams/Arob/Watkins/Brown/Crabtree/Crowder/Washington/Chark
Njoku/Goedert/Andrews/Henry
So, on the one hand, my team aint broke. Gurley is the #1 overall Dynasty asset, and Kamara may not be far behind. I won the championship last year, and have a good chance of being in the running again this year. Im in first place and am the highest scoring team in the league. I have the decided advantage of being able to roll two of Gurley/Kamara/McCaffrey out every week in a PPR league. Having 6 RB is overkill in a league where i can start a maximum of 2 RB.
On the other hand my WRs are inconsistent, and my QBs could turn back into pumpkins any day now. Acquiring Adams and Watson shores up those two positions with young talent. Acquiring Cook gives me a solid RB3 once he gets healthy, and Freeman and Chubb are both top flight prospects. You can never have too many RB. I could always trade one of them for another WR or a TE upgrade.
Trading away Gurley just seems wrong. But this offer seems like its in the ballpark of what it would take for me to do it.
