This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kupp value

Postby ddog2303 » Wed Oct 10, 2018 5:11 am

We have debate going on in our league about the value of Cooper Kupp. The Kupp owner is new this year and being protected by some of our league members in terms of advising him on player values and trades.

The trade was:
Tevin Coleman, Derrick Henry, and Devante Parker for Cooper Kupp and a second.

We have some debate as to whether this is a fair trade and what Kupp’s value is. Any thoughts on this trade? Also can you give me some players that you feel are of about equal value to Kupp?

I like the cupp side BUT tevin coleman will most likely be a starting RB next year and Henry can't do any worse.

RB: Zeke, Saquan, Dalvin Cook, Guice, J.Hill, and Damien Harris
WR: Diggs, DJ Moore, JuJu, Sutton, Fuller, Paris

Not close imo.

Henry=2nd
Parker = 3rd/4th?
Kupp>>>>>Tevin

What has Tevin shown that people are anointing him a RB1? There are at least 15 younger and more talented backs than him in the NFL. We are hoping he goes to a team and has a chance to be the lead back... in his opportunity this year on one of the leagues best offenses he’s produces mid RB2 numbers at best, he’s replacement level.

Kupp is putting up elite numbers and we know he’s tied to an elite offense.

Add a 1st to Tevin side and drop the 2nd.

Thanks for the opinions. Does anybody have a player name that they recommend as equivalent value? Especially at RB?

I'd put him at 1.2 in this year's draft

Those are some really nice league-mates you got there. I don't think that trade is fair at all, give me Kupp all day long. That's just a bunch of meh for a stud.

As someone else mentioned, Howard, Michel, Cook would be good RB equivalents. Everyone has their preferences - but if this dude is rebuilding the league should recommend him not to move Kupp at all, due to age and productivity. He's going to be around for a long time.

Kupp, 2019 2nd > Coleman
Parker and Henry are fill-ins that are worthless. Parker has 6 pts on the season, Henry has 5 PPG through 5 games.
