Phillip Lindsay Value?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hope for a 2nd... His value pry took a bit of a hit with the ejection.

You don't think that he might be in the dog house for a few games because he was an idiot an punched an opposing player? I was projecting him being in the dog house for a bit and his value being suppressed a bit by the loss of a few reps. I admittedly did not watch the game, but still not a good look for a young RB...

I don't think he's worth more than a 3rd, even before he got ejected. So getting a 2nd for him would be a steal.

I disagree and believe it did hurt his value because it slowed his momentum. He's an undersized and undrafted RB with little to no recognition coming into the year, then all of a sudden he has two very big games for a guy that's on waivers in most leagues and becomes probably the #1 waiver target in all of fantasy football after week 1. Then week 3 he gets ejected and does nothing and goes from the hot topic to a bit of an after thought and now he has to build that momentum again. Whereas if he had played the whole game and had another game like he had the previous two weeks against a solid Ravens D, then owners would start to take him a bit more seriously and his value would have increased pretty significantly. He won't have quite that same buzz if he plays well this week and could take some time to get it going again unless he has a truly massive game.

I think he's worth holding for a while and seeing if he really is the player he was in the first two weeks of the season. I would much rather miss out on getting a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him now because he ends up being a bust, than sell him for that now and watching him go on to be a guy that is an every week starter and becoming worth a 1st round pick or more.

These are very good points. I was just offered a, projected, late round 1st for him and A. Ogletree (my worst of 5 LB). Do you guys think this is an auto accept or should I wait til the Broncos are down by 17 and Lindsay catches 7 passes for 75 yards? His team is 2-1, I’m actually playing him this week lol

As a Lindsey owner and believer, Auto accept. A first even late is worth much more than a most likely specialist back (albeit a promising and talented one) and a lb that is burried on your roster isn't going to hurt you at all to trade away

The ejection was pretty lame. Not like he brawled or tried to go after someone. He was fighting for the ball in a pile, but whatever I guess.

I'd take what you could get. If it's a 2nd take it right away and run. I dont know why everyone thinks he cant hold a job, is he that bad?

I’ve offered 2nds & been declined.

His value takes no hit due to the ejection. The offense went nowhere & looked stagnant without him.

I don't agree with that at all. Is value is extremely short term just like Cohen. He has absolutely no sustainable long-term value. Anything that you can get in trade in the first or second round is going to be worth more.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
