When to blow up team and rebuild?

I'm currently 0-3. Granted, my opponents are currently the 1st, 2nd, and 4th highest total scoring teams in the league through the first 3 weeks. I have not hit the panic button yet but the thought has crossed my mind that my team is older and it might be time to blow it up. It's not that I haven't been competitive (probably would have won this week if the Pats had been able to do anything to give Brady normal numbers) but it seems like the goal posts have gotten moved this year - lots of incredibly high scores.

So the question to go with my sob story is this.....When do you make that decision to blow it up and play for next year? A 0.500 record can get you in the playoffs in my league (and anything can happen in the playoffs). Do I pull the trigger on blowing it up at 0-5 or am I just completely overreacting?

So.....this has turned out to not be the case. I'm now 2-4, probably going to lose to the worst team in the league this week because almost all my starters are hurt, and even my best players are looking less than great. Any change in opinion?

In a 10 Team league I would try to start building for next year. I’d try to sell Brady to whomever for a 1st or a rookie who isn’t performing like Penny or something.

You have some nice pieces, but I would definitely see what you can get for Brady, AP, and maybe even Gore if he has another 100 yard game. A contender should want Brady and possibly AP so you may get a large first there.

I'm also a believer in selling a guy a year early as opposed to a year too late. If I owned Antonio Brown I would be shopping him. I think you would get a massive haul for him as he still has a ton of value.

brady should not net you either a first or penny. sell him for a 2nd if you are lucky, 3rd otherwise.

but yes you need to plan to rebuild and if you can get anything at all for ajayi do it

brown is your key to being good as early as next year, sell him for 3 really good pieces and dont settle for an ok deal

I wouldnt blow it up necessarily, but you're not playing for this year move some older players. Maybe go after some injured guys that owners might be looking to sell if they are competing.

Move AB for an ELITE runningback. I'd be thrilled to get Kamara for AB/Ajayi if at all possible. other than that just start moving all the older players like everyone suggested. Although you're going to be sorely disappointed if you think any QB other than Mahomes or Watson or Wentz is going to get you a 1st round pick in a 10 team league.
