Hunter henry worth in a trade

Postby jcass1991 » Sat Sep 15, 2018 8:51 am

Looking to pick up hunter henry in a trade. Heard some good news about his recovery and with trey burton as my starting TE I can deal with Henry being out for the year. Trade would be giving up my Tyler Eifert and next year round 1 for Henry. Or should I try giving up eifert and round 2 pick next year. Thoughts???

I'm not sure Eifert and the first is enough. Definitely don't make the offer with a second.

Ya, the injury was a bummer but didn't change his value for me. I'm done with Eifert so he has no impact on the value for me, and a 1 wouldn't be enough for me to move Henry in the leagues I own him. If you can get him for that go for it, but be prepared to add more or a better piece than Eifert.

Was hunter Henry worth more than a mid first before his injury? I don’t remember it being that way. He should be worth a projected late first at most with the year lost to injury. Agree that Eifert doesn’t really add much

Ended up getting hunter henry for my Tyler eifert and 2019 2nd which based on my record and starting off with most points scored and 2-0 should be a late 2nd I'd say. Absolute steal to keep on IR already having button already for this year???

That's a steal, even if you end up with 2.01. Congrats.

I own him all over the place...I worry how he will transition to a new QB tho. He would have been a beast wirh Rivers this year.

That would have to of been briefly before Ertz emerged. Regardless there’s a huge drop off in TE value after Kelce/Ertz/Gronk, so merely being a higher tier TE1 can be a little misleading when it comes to valuing him.

I think a 2nd and a player like Eifert is fair to pay now. When the season is over it will look better but there’s always a cost associated with rostering injured players. They do lose value

1. many things in fantasy football is fleeting, but it was more than briefly....last year is the first time ertz was considered elite (and it took at least a 1/4 of the season before people believed)

2. that is why you don't trade injured players if you own them, and you try to trade for them if you don't...i still think he is top 6..perhaps ertz passed him, but even Engram (who is being drafted ahead of him) has come down to earth....

i would absolutely give Eifert and a 2nd for HH...if i owned HH, i would want more than a frequently injured TE and a random 2nd

HH is 23, there's no way you're getting him from me at cost.
I'd need more than a '19 first.
