I play in a contract league, where we have a salary cap and offer contracts ranging between 1-4 years in length rather than having permanent control. I had Gordon as a holdover from our old format and drafted Hunt/Penny, so I got lucky in that my team’s only really expensive piece is Antonio Brown and I’ve got money to go after a big name this offseason despite winning last year.
Best two WRs available are Julio and Diggs (and Thielen). I think in a one year scenario you’d want Julio and in a rest-of-career scenario you’d want Diggs, but what about 3-4 years? Leaning Julio but just checking in.
Few factors:
-You can franchise tag after a contract expires, but it isn’t cheap
-You can offer a contract extension as well, but it’s pretty high and no guarantees of where my money will be in a few years
-Diggs will probably come slightly cheaper

People are over-obsessed with age. MAYBE Diggs out produces Julio in year four due to Julio regressing, but Diggs will never match Julio's prime output, which you should be safe to count on for 2-3 years
