Running backs to target

Postby JRM12 » Mon Aug 20, 2018 3:40 pm

Hi all,

Team in sig, currently rebuilding but am lacking at RB. No one is open to trading top 15-20 RBs in my league. Who should I be targeting outside of them. I was thinking Aaron jones, Peyton barber. Is there anyone else?

Sorry, but what an absolute dumpster fire. Don't worry about any RBs right now. The ones you are targeting will likely be useless in 2 years. Your goal should be to keep working on your WR core and load up on RBs in the 2020 draft. That is when this team will be ready to compete IMO. I'd consider packaging Howard and someone like Parker Gordon Cobb and go after a top tier WR.

Doubt it nets you Hopkins, but you could try. Adams Thomas Evans are worth shots too. May be enough if people love RBs in your league.

I think james connor would be a good target unless the bell owner has him already. in that case he prob isnt selling

Corey Clement. Daniel Jeremiah is plugged into Philly and mentioned Clement as one of his favorite fantasy options. He was all over Agholor last year before they traded Matthews.

The Eagles' RB situation is really unsettled after this year with Ajayi being a FA and Sproles retiring.

What have you been offering to other owners?

You could probably offer both of your 2019 firsts as the class will be WR heavy, but mediocre overall.
10 team PPR league, 24 man rosters, 5 man taxi, 5 man IR
QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex

RB: Saquon Barkley, Rhamondre Stevenson, Khalil Herbert, Antonio Gibson, Gus Edwards, Jerome Ford, Kendre Miller (TX), Roschon Johnson (TX), Pierre Strong (TX), Tyson Chandler (TX)
WR: Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, DJ Moore, Diontae Johnson, Chris Godwin, Terry McLaurin, Kadarius Toney, Jayden Reed, John Metchie, Justyn Ross,
TE: George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, Chigoziem Okonkwo, Sam LaPorta (TX), Isaiah Likely, Luke Schoonmaker (IR)

Draft Picks
2024: 1st
2025: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Finishes:

IMO look to ship off everyone but KAllen, Arob, djmoore and Gesicki and look to rebuild fully. Like another guy said target rookie RBs or top tier WRs

Obviously some guys like dez and Gordon you might have to wait until they are producing in season to get value.
No point acquiring RBs to compete when you are way of competing.
If you are determined to acquire RBs look for like said rookies or PPR guys who will have a long shelf life Duke, Chris Thompson etc...
12 Team 1 pt PPR
1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 3Flex 1K
QB Stroud Tua
RB Bijan, Gibbs, Jamaal, CEH, Allgeier, Brown
WR Hill, JJ, AJB, Keenan, ReedReed, Thielen, Boyd, Iosivas, Tucker
TE Hockenson Ferguson,
K Elliot
1DT 2DE 3LB 1CB 2S 1Flex
DT Donald Zach Allen
DE Crosby, Van Ness, Turner, Wonnum,
LB Greenlaw, Kendricks, Bernard, Mosley, McFadden, Barton, Overshown, Cashman, Henley
CB Stream
S Bynum, Blankenship fuller, grant,
2024 - 1.03, 3.05, 3.12, 6th
2025 2, 3,4,5,6
