Post Start-Up Direction

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Post Start-Up Direction

Postby jma9534 » Fri Aug 17, 2018 10:44 am

I just completed my first start up and ended up with a young team. That said, I expect to be strong at RB and if one of my young WRs plays well, I believe I could be competitive. I'd probably need to trade for a 3rd starting QB though, especially since one of my QBs is Jameis. There are a couple teams in the league with QB depth that I'm sure would be willing to make a trade but I expect may be looking for a somewhat high return. What direction do you think I should go with my team, am I close enough to competing that it would make sense to trade for a QB or should I let the young talent develop for this season and reevaluate in the offseason? Appreciate any comments. Team is below.

Superflex, 12 Teams, .5 PPR

Marcus Mariota
Jameis Winston
Mason Rudolph
Chad Kelly
DeShone Kizer

Ryan Nall
Chris Warren
Ralph Webb
Trenton Cannon

WR

Chris Godwin
Kenny Golladay
Cameron Meredith
Tre'Quan Smith
Antonio Callaway
Chad Williams
Mack Hollins
DeMarcus Robinson
Josh Reynolds
Ryan Switzer

OJ Howard
Eric Ebron

I can see where you went for your first 5 picks but it looks like things went off the rails from there. Lacking any depth at all and pretty much a team filled with youth and hope. Unfortunately I don't see a lot of upside with the youth. I'd like to see a better WR behind Diggs and a couple more proven assets.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)

You need another WR badly... I would look at trying to move Ajayi + one of your young promising WR's for a solid veteran WR.
12 TEAM SUPERFLEX, TE Premium, 25 man rosters
QB - | Rodgers | Herbert | Mills
RB - CMC | Chubb | Dobbins | Keaontay Ingram
WR - McLaurin | Deebo | Waddle | Gabriel Davis | Elijah Moore | Mooney | C Ridley | Jameson Williams | Pickens | Alec Pierce | Wan'dale Robinson | Justyn Ross | B Edwards
TE - M Andrews | Friermuth

2023 Picks: 1st round(2), 2nd round(2), 3rd round (2)

Thanks a lot for the comments so far, really appreciate it. I'm pretty high on Godwin and Moore, and if one of them played well this year, I feel I'd have a competitive lineup, but I get that's a pretty big if and that people can have totally different opinions on their upside. I'm in it for the long haul obviously, since I drafted so many young players, first dynasty league so just wanted a bit of perspective.
