Chris Carson - instant accept offer?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Chris Carson - instant accept offer?

Postby SHIZZLE » Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:06 pm

Carson, Rob Kelley, AP and my 2019 1st (Late) and 2nd FOR an early 2019 1st and 2nd

started with: on first post
Just was offered 2019 2nd (mid), for my Chris Carson. He owns penny and McKissic as well. Is this an easy accept?

I am just trying to make sure I am not overvaluing carson because I own him.

I'd take the 2nd.

Carson is worth more than a random 2nd next year.

Another for the 2nd. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I think phe could flirt with 800 rushing and 250/300 receiving yards.

Yes, but if you have to ask, it isn't actually an "instant accept".

I'd keep Carson. But I don't value future 2nd rd picks much

He's the starting rb for the Seahawks. A random 2nd rd pick is playing college football right now.

IT's preaseason, man. You don't get points for that. I get that you have Carson, but the reality Rashaad Penny is going to claim significant touches, and there is probably a good chance Carson's value will never be higher. Everybody is making ridiculous assumptions about Carson, but he just isn't that good. I wish I had him so I could get a 2nd for him. A random 2nd can also get you a player in season from a team that isn't competitive. I don't think people are factoring in the obvious downside to Carson right now. It's not the first time a rookie has been behind the incumbent in training camp. For me, I like to cash out on guys like Carson who I don't see having a long term impact.

I think you should. Yes, he might embedded at the starter now, but I think the general consensus is Penny will eventually take over by season's end. Your RB core is pretty solid that you don't need Carson to start.

I recently sold Carson for a 2020 2nd, before the Penny hand injury. Possible to ask for a 2020 2nd on top of the 2019 2nd? Might be greedy, but if you can try, fail, and still the original offer?

Good luck!

I don't own Penny and am not a huge fan of his, but I still said yes.
