Potential Barkley Trade

Postby WP3 » Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:28 am

Given my current roster and that we start 6 rb/wr, should I give up my 1.2, 1.4, and Ertz, for Barkley? I’m not too worried to move on from Ertz to a TE needy team given that I have Gronk and Burton. I’m looking for a RB1 and I have no clue what I’m getting out of the early rookie picks.
12 team, non ppr, 1 Qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1 TE, 2 flex (rb/wr/te), 1 Def, 22 roster spots

QB: Wentz, Big Ben, Winston
RB: Zeke, Cook, Chubb, Fournette, Pollard, Mattison, Damien Harris, Armstead
WR: Hopkins, OBJ, Evans, MVS, JJAW, Trequan Smith, Reynolds
TE: Ertz, Herndon
Def: Steelers, Browns

2020 picks: 1.7, 3.4

You have Barkley fever, I'd rather have those two picks and Ertz. I would move Gronk though, if I were you.

For me, this breaks down as 2 of the 3 (Penny, Guice, RoJo) and Ertz for Barkley. While I love all three (3) of those backs and would take any two (2), I'm still going Barkley

Barkley for me, especially considering your roster.

I went back and forth on which side I prefer and ultimately voted for Barkley.

I would happily give that package for Zeke or somebody similar, so it basically comes down to whether or not you believe Barkley will quickly find himself in that fantasy tier. I'm comfortable projecting him to end up in that top-tier discussion sooner than later, so Barkley is my choice here.

Passing up that trade is only good for you if Barkley proves to be historically good. He would have zero room for error. Do you believe in him that much?

Voted Barkley, since you have Zeke, liked pairing him with Barkley. I'd take the package in a 16 team league
