My first superflex start up about to begin (Updates as picks come)

It was 2 different trades but amounted to Julio and Wilson for 2019 2nd, Penny, Mariota, Goff, Sony Michel or Sammy Watkins(out of those 4 1 was an original pick). I, not sure I love it but we will see. It’s pretty gambly.

I took Trubisky and Tevin at the turn. I highly considered taking 2 QBs and probably should have. Plenty left. Weird draft.

I've never been in a superflex league. Startup today in 1 hour. Just wanting to know if anyone wants to follow along or help with advice.

I've got the 1.12 pick in a snake draft.

Scoring and lineups are

standard PPR(1 ppr and 1 point for 10 yards) for RB and WR

QB scoring is 4 points per 100 and 4 points per TD and -2 per INT.

TE premium 1.5 ppr and 1 point per 8.5 yards receiving.


Lineups-

QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Superflex, 3 RB/WR/TE flex spots.


I keep seeing that it's important to get a couple QB's in the 1st 2 rounds or at least 4 rounds. Obviously TE production is amped up here as well. Pretty balanced scoring all around from a positional standpoint I believe.

I will try and keep posted the action if anyone is interested in following along.

So 4 picks to me. Probably still going to be several of these qbs left - Phillip Rivers, Jamies Winston, Alex Smith, Big Ben, Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Andy Dalton, Blake Bortles, Ryan Tannehill, Sam Bradford.

It seems like insanely good value to just take 2 more qbs but I’m gettting pretty concerned about my chance to trade in this league. Most of us are new to superflex and obv don’t seem to value qb position. It’s slightly deflated with 4 points per 100 yards but still seems like qb should be worth a lot.

I know everyone keeps saying take more qbs. But is this going to come back to bite me? We have such deep starting requirements I’m gonna have some real speculation in the flex positions.

If the answer is still take more qbs, which 2 should I take?

It's a lot more difficult to trade for QBs, then draft them. Hate Winston but he's probably one and I'd go darnold too. Just hold fast when they start coming to u.

It all depends on how the draft play out, you just gotta be reactionary to your draft. If they go skill go QB if they go QB go skill

Agree with this - I only play in one super flex and it is a redraft . Last year was our first year and I had pick 3( I took Bell). Rodgers went first and if I remember right 17 QB’s in the first 32 picks which was insane to me but forced people to take them. I have the 1.9 in our draft next week so am curious as to how it will play out.

i didn't see TY Hilton on the list (unless i missed it), if he is there...i would draft him...
also noticed that Hunter Henry is still available...i really like him...but perhaps he will be available next round due to injury

so Hilton for me...then probably Winston...continue taking one QB per round until the others owners start coming to their senses...

TY went 46 overall. I just missed that somehow.

Winston and Darnold both went before me. I ended up going 2 QBs with Alex Smith and Rivers and know I need to do alot of trading to get this team in order. But there were 2 teams that didn't even have a QB and 4 with 1 QB. I think it's just a case of a bunch of redraft guys that have always streamed QBs. I know one guy thinks that the deep starting lineups devalue QBs by a bunch. It was too much value to pass up and I felt like I could flip some of these QBs for who I want later instead of whoever was there now. We'll see.

Who was available at other positions? When you start getting to Smith and Rivers you are at a somewhat limited audience for trades. I know there will be a shortage but remember they can start someone else in that SF spot and if they don’t like the QB a lot of owners would rather start 1 QB vs getting old or a QB they don’t like.

Is this on MFL? I believe that you can look at last years stats based on your leagues settings. Also I would make sure that you don’t trade next years picks. There is a good chance you will have a high draft pick. If they are not used to SF it might take time for them to adjust and value QBs. Don’t trade just to trade and lose value.

i would have probably done the same thing...as strange as it seems, i would probably still take a QB each round until they are all gone
i do think you will be able to trade some of those QBs for starters from other positions...

Really not sure if another QB is value at this point. Before everyone was sliding according to both rankings and ADP so I was just grabbing several rounds of value each time and going BPA. I don't know if it's such great value anymore.

I'm leaning towards MWilliams, Agholor, Godwin at the moment. Stills offers more immediate production and is tempting. Ebron could be in for a decent turn of fortune with Luck and it is a TE friendly format.
