Potential Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Potential Trade

Postby colonnaj94 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 7:49 pm

Hey guys, would you give Will Fuller for a 2019 2nd, Antonio Callaway and a 2019 3rd?

12 Team PPR.
Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX.
QB Mayfield, Carr
RB Fournette, Howard, Collins, Abdullah, Blount, Wadley, Gore, Smith, Austin
WR Thomas, Agholor, Miller, Fuller, Doctson, Darboh, Z Jones, Terrance Williams, Butler, Valdez-Scantling, Tate
TE Njoku, Gesicki, Hooper

PICKS:
2020 3rd

I'm kind of in the early stages of a rebuild, where as I don't see my team winning now, but I could sneak into the playoffs if a couple things go my way.. But once I go up against the contenders in my league, I pretty much don't stand a chance with this current roster..

I'm really just not sure if I should fully commit to this rebuild (Considering I don't have many picks to begin with) or try to win now..

I would keep Fuller. Callaway carries too much risk/headache.

Callaway is cool and all if you already own him but don't overreact to players in the preseason, Fuller while probably on an unsustainable pace could really be a mid/high WR2 going forward and is just 24 years old. Keep him.

It's pretty close, I might roll the dice on Callaway and the future picks.

Thanks for the responses so far. I've tried to sell Fuller to other teams too but nobody seems to be interested in him, I thought this was somewhat good value..

I have a big problem with Fuller and its called his hands. Man that kid drops a lot of easy balls. I would trade him for that. AC has WR1 skills (and WR9 for a brain). He could put you where you want to be, Fuller will not.

Dropped passes is such an overrated stat, he's still a first round pick and he will still be 2nd most targeted player behind Nuk and will still have plenty of deep targets go his way. The leader in passes dropped last year had 8....who cares as long as he has plenty of targets comng his way...Julio Jones has the second most in the league last year with 7

I would stick with Fuller.
I'm in too many leagues to list them here

I concur and will take it a step further. There is no correlation between dropped passes and fantasy production nor is there any year over year predictable metric that ties dropped passes to anything. Whether Fuller drops 4 passes all year or 10 has no bearing on his production. Terrell Owens was one of the worst in the league when it came to dropping passes and he finally went into the Hall of Fame this year (should have been 1st ballot). [I have admittedly been down on a couple of players in the past for this, but it isn't a big issue overall]

I like Callaway plenty and I think the return here is fine IF he didn't have the off field concerns. However there is so much risk to him that I'm not seeing enough of a return here for Fuller. I like him better than nearly every WR that came out this season and he's worth a later 1st round pick.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Keep Fuller. He is proven to be decent. 2nd round picks are so hit or miss. I could go either way on the Callaway trade.
Team 1 (superlex):
QB: Mahommes, Geno, Cousins, Ridder
RB: CMC, Javonte, Allgeier
WR: K. Allen, Metcalf, D. Smith, Ridley, Bateman, Burks, Wan'Dale

Team 2:
QB: Aaron Rodger, Watson
RB: Alvin Kamara, Zeke, D. Henderson, Mostert, Cohen, Jamaal Williams
WR: Metcalf, AJ Brown, Alen Robinson, Crowder, Lazard
TE: Mark Andrews, Trautman

I’m confused, if your rebuilding then why are you giving up a 2nd for a 3rd? Plus the upside up each is debatable, but with what Fuller did with Watson last year he should easily be giving up the higher pick in the deal.

If he didn't have the issues he would have been a high draft pick, I'm ok with taking the baggage with him, he looked good in preseason and could be tied to a young and upcoming QB, not to say Fuller isn't or wont be.

I would not be to concerned with the issues right now....lol if you want and like Callaway, try to use his issues to squeeze a little more out of him like maybe turn that 3rd into possibly another second.

It's somewhat fair, but I'd stick with Fuller. He has a much better chance of increasing in value this year than those picks or Callaway.
