Should I drop Jonnu Smith for

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I wouldn't, but don't think it'll make a big difference either way.

I think Jonnu is a hold. I see a lot of the Hunter Henry situation here. Let Jonnu grow and develop so by the time Walker retires, you don't miss a beat.

I like Smith a lot.

I'd much rather keep Smith. Herndon belongs on the waiver wire. I don't think Herndon is rostered in any of my leagues, even the TE premium ones...

Why is there so much Jonnu love? I understand he is the next up behind an old TE and TEN loves TEs. He is not supremely athletic and didn't do a whole lot in college. If I had him I would try and sell him on his hype.

Jonnu is a bit over hyped, and I recently sold him in a different league, but I certainly wouldn't drop him for a guy that I had to think about for three seconds to remember who he is.

I'm personally higher on Jonnu, even though I did just pick up Herndon. I think Herndon has an outside chance to be relevant in 2018, but long term I like Jonnu still. Could be 2 years before Jonnu time though.

I would prefer Jonnu on my roster, but also maybe try to sell him in a 2:1 deal where you upgrade a player and freeing up a roster spot

Hold Jonnu. He is listed as a started on the first released depth chart and having a great camp. Guy is 1st in 1st team TE snaps over Delanie.

Don't misinterpret this post as he is better than Delanie, i think both will be on the field.

Agree. Like I said earlier, same situation as Henry/Gates a couple years ago

I'm not sure he is "supremely" athletic (that title currently belongs to Mike Gesicki) but the guy tested out as one of the most athletic tight ends in the '17 class which, relatively speaking, was full of freak athletes. His raw stats in college were not spectacular but when put in context with the College Dominator metric, were actually quite impressive. He registered a 33% share of his team's receiving yards and TDs in 2016, which puts him in the 91st percentile for all tight ends in the playerprofiler.com database. He also flashed as a rookie in limited opportunities and might actually be good enough to force his way onto the field in two tight end sets until Delanie retires.

Depending on the roster size he's definitely a hold, not a sell, as he doesn't really have much value in trade right now

I'm also intrigued with Chris Herndon because he was a Hurrican TE and Miami usually produces solid NFL Pro TEs

hes a name I'd look out for
