Chris Carson trade to the Penny owner?

Chris Carson trade to the Penny owner?

I own Carson......is offering carson for a 2019 2nd (mid) to the Penny owner a good idea or am I way off.

I know many believe that they would not spend the 1st on a guy to ride the pine, but Carroll seems open to playing the best guy period.

You can try it, depends if he's skittish. I own Penny and probably wouldn't give up a 3rd for him, but if you can get a 2nd, take it all day. Carson will be irrelevant by this time next year IMO. Penny is the best guy, really. He is a more talented back, so I would try and score a 2nd while you can.

I agree with you in regards to Carson being irrelevant next year. If I had him I would be shopping the crap out of him and get what I could while there is some buzz.

You're not way off. I was able to move Carson for a 2020 2nd, anything more was unlikely from anyone, including the Penny owner who I first contacted. I think getting a 2019 2nd is a really good for you

Sounds about right to me. But if you need RB depth I would think Carson has as much chance at being productive as a mid 2nd rounder next year.

I love RP, but Carson showed signs of rock star status don't you think?
I think a mid 2nd is good value for both teams. win/win You have a crowded stable of RBs so go for it !
As a Penny owner, might offer Cobb and a 3rd for him... Carroll can be weird :biggrin:

No, I don't think that at all. I also think a mid 2nd for Carson is an overpay, you can get a good prospect in the mid 2nd. A lot of people think Chris Carson is the starting running back, he is not. So you are paying a mid 2nd for a guy who did little in college, and was a 7th round pick, played decently in a few starts, and is now up against an elite college producer who has the qualities, weight, and speed of a lead back, who was just taken in the first round. There is no way I'd pay a mid 2nd for Carson.

Hold. Carson has more value to you than a 2nd next year. You have a lot of bodies behind McCaffrey/McCoy but few legit starting options.

But if you are going to sell, a 2019 2nd is a good idea.

If u can get a future 2nd round pick for Carson, take it. I much Like the rest see Carson as irrelevant next offseason.
