I'd cut Montgomery. Crowell has a much clearer path to playing time and production, giving him both a higher floor and, IMO, a higher ceiling.

I’d try to sell Montgomery instead of just cutting him. Shoot for a 3rd rounder to the Jones/Williams owner

Yeah I’ve been trying to sell one of them with no luck and I have to cut one by tomorrow.. I also have Aaron jones so that makes me more enticed to hold Montgomery

Personally I'd cut Cameron Meredith over either RB, but if you're set on cutting one of those guys, I'd cut Crowell and keep Montgomery.

My experience is that, if you are trying to sell a guy to avoid cutting a valuable player, don't push the guy who is the last player on your team. Everyone knows he is getting cut so they are not going to bail you out. Trade a guy a couple slots up who has a little more appeal to other teams. As long as you like what you get back + the last guy that you would cut more than what you give, it's a win for you.

between those 2, I am keeping Crowell.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Agree that Crow is the better/safer hold here, but how do you figure Montgomery is only a 3rd down guy “at best”? I would say that’s what he is at worst. At best, he’s a three-down workhorse putting up top 5 RB numbers, which is exactly what he was less than a year ago. Granted, his durability issues and the performance of Jones and, to a lesser extent, Williams, have made it unlikely that he returns to that role, but it’s at least within his range of outcomes. Crow’s floor is quite a bit higher, but Montgomery has already established a higher ceiling.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0

If camp notes are reliable and any indication, Montgomery is being used as the passing down/COP back. Williams is running as the early down back and would be competing directly with Jones for the job if he wasn't suspended. I'm not sure there's any way Ty becomes a 3-down back unless the two guys ahead of him get hurt. He's got his shot due to being the last man standing in 2016, then the Pack drafted both Williams and Jones in 2017. It's not likely they draft that way if they thought Montgomery was a 3-down RB. He's a situational player and will certainly have a role, but he's not a workhorse. As you mention, durability is a concern.

I might just prefer Burkhead to Crowell if I'm trying to win in 2018. Game script in NY won't favor the running game, so Crow's situation with the Jets is fairly equivalent to what he had with the Browns, regardless of what you think of him as a talent. They'll be playing from behind, and passing more than they'll be running. Burkhead is underrated IMO, even with the addition of Michel. I think Michel eats into White's playing time more than Burkhead's, and if he can't clean up his fumbling issues he'll play behind both backs.

I'd be cutting Montgomery and wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Crow is the RB1 on the Jets. Ty is an afterthought on a good offense. I''d keep Crow, easily. 200 plus touches are tough to let go of.

I don't agree at all. Montgomery is the most obvious cut. Burkhead is much more valuable.
