Safe to cut AP?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

He should've been cut a year ago.

I could see him getting some run in Buffalo if McCoy gets suspended or if another team has a major preseason injury

IMO, the only way he has value is if he signs in Houston. Think he might be better between the tackles than Miller...which is more of an indictment of Miller, rather than a endorsement of AP.

Thanks for the responses guys. Father time remains undefeated. Though one could argue Bernard Hopkins fought him to a draw :)

12 team? Yeah. In a deeper league, he's probably worth holding on to for a bit. If he signs in a decent spot, sell for the perceived value bump.

Why are you still holding him? If you have deep enough rosters and have been holding until now, then you may as well hold until end of the preseason in case he finds a home. But if you need the roster spot, or there is anyone on waivers with any small amount of hype cut him immediately.

Even if he gets signed somewhere the probability of him putting up usable fantasy numbers are likely very low. Let someone else burn the roster spot

If you have a crazy deep bench, 32 roster spots 12 or 14 team league, he might be worth to hold in case he magically lands somewhere after an injury (or the McCoy thing) and you can sell him for a 3rd to someone desperate for a low end RB2, but that's about it.

Roster spot for a guy worth hopefully a 3rd if the cards fall right, may as well cut for a younger UDFA flyer at that point.

+1 Thanks for asking. I'm the same spot, but I've got bench space until our upcoming draft forces me. Nostalgia I suppose, he helped win a few years ago
