I'm in the middle of a rebuild, minding my own business and I get this offer today.

Give: Penny, Royce Freeman, Mike Gesicki OR Ronald Jones
Get: 4x 2019 firsts, Justin Jackson, D. Henderson, Cam Meredith
Edit: I think three out of the four firsts will be mid to late

The players are fillers to make the rosters work. This would give me 5x 2019 firsts, but I do not own my own first. So tanking does me no good this season. Here is my current team

QB: Flacco, Tyrod, Rosen
RB: Penny, Royce, Rojo, Peyton Barber, Ameer, Frank Gore, Yeldon, Theo
WR: JuJu, Robert Woods, Garcon, E. Sanders, Gallup, Anthony Miller, Ryan Grant, Pettis,
TE: Kittle, Gesickt, Jonnu Smith

Like I said, rebuild. If I take this offer I feel like all I'm doing is delaying my rebuild. But, anything offering four first round picks for unproven players deserves attention. What do you guys think?

Wow. This offer is one of the more interesting ones I've seen this offseason. So you're getting 4 firsts for 3 first round RBs (Penny, Freeman, RoJo), and Gesicki while also receiving some interesting throw-ins. That's quite the upgrade on paper. The disadvantage to this deal is you needed help at RB and you addressed it nicely and with an accept you lose all that talent. Whether someone should accept or reject this trade might depend on the owner/team, but if it's me, I accept the deal only because I believe it adds more value to your team.

If you accept you delay the rebuild. You will have the same needs next year only its a much weaker RB class, and next years rookies runners arent as likely to atep into starting roles from day 1. Just my opinion though. Yeah its first round picks for unproven guys, but the picks and whoever you draft will be just as unproven. Id much rather have the guys you have now

I would not take this at all....not all rookie classes are created equal and unless you're already doing research from college most of us don't know how strong the 2019 class will be. Penny is the 1.02-1.04 in a STACKED RB class, Freeman is around the 1.06-1.08 again ina very very stacked RB class, same with Rojo. Gesicki is the TE1 in the class and was an absolute freak of nature at the combine. You could easily be delaying your rebuild for an extra 1st in a much less talented draft class. If you don't even own your own 1st then whats the point of delaying the rebuild another year? Role with your 1sts this year and see their value soar. Idk if this rookie class will come close to last years rookie rb's but if they do then each one of those Rb's will be worth 2-3 1sts by themselves...

I'm keeping the players you have now, weaker RB class next year and you did REALLY WELL in this year's draft. If anything, try and acquire your pick back, I was able to do that with Team 3 in my sig. Ended up having a terrible startup by swinging and missing on some risks and ended up doing a reboot this offseason and acquiring the rookies you see below plus Foreman and 2 additional 1's next year.

Also, a rule of thumb for me is that I always view next years picks as a few spots less valuable than what a pick in similar spot would be this year. i.e. a projected mid 1 next year is worth like a late 1 this year and so on and so forth. So, IMO you're really just delaying the rebuild a full year and really not getting that interesting for the present... I'd hold and pat yourself on the back for a rookie draft well done.

I'm torn. I think you need those RBs, but you also need a ton of help at WR. Next year's WR class is supposed to be deep, and 5 1sts would help. I think you should probably hold and try to get your pick back.

Think I'll take the players but it's a somewhat interesting offer

Time value of money says the assets that you can use today are worth more than assets you can use tomorrow.

Kind of where I'm at with it. IF I could get my pick back I would consider this deal a bit more, but even then I'm not sure if I'll get another Penny in next years class.
