Julio/Gordon or Mixon/Davis

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Julio/Gordon or Mixon/Davis

Postby 97novi2k » Sat Jul 21, 2018 3:07 pm

So I’m torn on a trade offer I’ve been working on and wanted some opinions. Looking to get a little bit younger but definitely a contender in my league. Have a chance to get Mixon and Corey Davis

Give: Julio/Josh Gordon
Get: Mixon/Davis

I think Julio is by far the most proven and best player in the deal but I get two younger guys on be up and Julio is getting older and who knows on Gordon.

I am also looking for opinions on what I could offer based on my team if there are better options, maybe TY

If I'm competing this year give me Julio...in a rebuild I think it's easily the Mixon Davis side

I agree with both posts, that’s why I’m torn. I’m definitely a contender but also like the idea of getting younger.

Julio>Mixon

Im not that crazy about corey davis so ill say Davis=Gordon even tho Davis probably carries slightly more value as a trade asset.

I like the Julio/Josh side I think during the year you can get a lot more than Mixon/Davis for them when they are putting up WR1 numbers.

This a pretty solid offer, I'd say it is pretty even. Like previous posters if I'm rebuilding I'll take Mixon/Davis......competing it is Julio/Gordon.

Personally I prefer the Mixon/Davis side in a vacuum.

I feel like Julio/Gordon is an overpay for Mixon Davis. Julio still plays another 4/5 years I think and hes almost w lock for 1300+ yds and if he finds the endzone he will push for WR1. Gordon is older and a wildcard. Guess it depends on league and each of these guys value is volatile. I traded Engram for Corey Davis, but have seen him bought for much more. Ive been offered 3 firsts for Julio and didnt take it bc Im in win now mode, but also bave young WRs in Davis/MThomas/MWilliams/Sutton... Julio is more important than the picks. I like Davis but he hasnt actually done anything yet and when Im trading a known/proven commodity for an unknown/unproven I discount the unproven side a bit. Gordon didnt do anything last year, but he bas done it before and no reason to think he cant return to even 80% of what he was. Also Tyrod and Baker both good fit for Gordon. If you want to do tbe trade Id try Julio alone for Mixon/Davis. With your roster Gordon may not see the lineup much, but you have the depth to do it. Wouldnt trade Freeman, he will be the benefactor of Tevin leaving next year. Also you have a ton of 19 picks to get younger. Id wait and do the deal mid season, see how Davis performs
