Chris Godwin’s worth compared to a TE target?
Chris Godwin’s worth compared to a TE target?
I really like Godwin’s talent and upside but curious where others thought his value might lie in trading for a TE? Rankings seem to have him close to OJ and Njoku but not sure those owners would go for that type of return. Thoughts?

Re: Chris Godwin’s worth compared to a TE target?
I like Godwin, but would need more than him to part with OJ or Njoku at this time. Either of them could end up being elite options at their position, Godwin never will and has one (Evans) already on his team. I value both TEs at least equal to their draft stock last year, which was a mid-late 1st, Godwin is still an early-mid 2 for me. I'd probably want at least Godwin + an early 2, depending on league format and team needs.

I think you'd have to add in order to get OJ or Njoku.
Straight up I would think Rudolph or Trey Burton would be good targets. Maybe Graham if you have an owner not sold on his position/age.

I like the feedback. It does seem like opening the conversation with Godwin on the table doesn’t seem too insulting honestly given the feedback and it gives some room for negotiation.

I think it might be too soon to say "never will." i can certainly see some short term obstacles to him being productive based on the other players on TB. I think Godwin is a bench stash, and probably has just as much upside as WRs going earlyish in this years draft class....kirk, ridley, miller, sutton, etc. It may take an injury or a team switch for him to reach is full potential though.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:00 am I like Godwin, but would need more than him to part with OJ or Njoku at this time. Too many teams and lineup changes to keep track of them all.
Re: Chris Godwin’s worth compared to a TE target?
I wasn't saying he couldn't be productive or a legitimate fantasy option or every week starter, but he won't ever be one of the truly elite WRs in the league. Njoku and/or OJ could very well be considered one the best, if not the number 1 TE overall in fantasy one day. They're both already being drafted as top 10 assets among TEs in startups.Ravenous wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 11:15 amI think it might be too soon to say "never will." i can certainly see some short term obstacles to him being productive based on the other players on TB.
