Needing TE help, WW options are good. Who to target and what rookie pick would you use?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Here are the guys available.

Charles Clay
Vance McDonald
Austin Hooper
Jake Butt
Gerald Everett
Tyler Kroft
Luke Wilson
Jonnu Smith
Adam Shaheen

I like some of these names. Who would you target and what pick would you be willing to use to get them?

id target

Jonnu Smoth for long term. Walker isn't getting younger, and the Titans drafted this guy because of similar build to Walker and his replacement. he spent a lot of time blocking last season like most project TE do, this season he may see more routes, then next is where I see him take off.

Clay for Short term

I don't get what pick you mean, like draft pick?

I wouldn't pay anything more that a 3rd or worse for them.

if they are on your WW odds are no one is going to take them anyway.

I have not done a lot of research on other guys above, Butt, Shaheen, from what in getting that are decent options as well.

but Butt missed a season so he is a season behind and might be 4th in the pecking order for targets.

Those are the exact 2 I was going to suggest for the same reasons. I would add Everett to the long term though.

Whatever guy is left at 4.07. I'm a fan of Jake Butt, but who knows how he's progressing and what he was able to absorb on the sidelines last year, might be another year away on the mental aspect with actual on the field reps. Hard to guess with your league dynamics if they will go earlier or even be drafted at all?

Once a month chuck probably gives you a startable option the first 4 weeks until he disappears. Vance, just not enough mouths to feed 2 points or a TD is what you'll get there like last year. Everyone is high on Hooper, there will be opportunity. Everett same boat as Vance, tons of mouths to feed but his talent is there. Kroft, you are banking on a lot of 2 TE sets or Eifert being Eifert. Wilson is a 1 year bandaid unless he balls out (1 year-2m deal). Jonnu is a long term play, delanie is still in the way. Lastly Shaheen is behind Burton now, so hoping for 2 TE sets or Red Zone work.

Yep just looking at what round rookie pick I could feel good about using it on one of those guys. I will be tempted to take Gesicki but do t want him at 2.04. I feel like there will be much better options available there.

I am a big Charles Clay homer for the short term but And if Tyrod was still in Buffalo it would be a slam dunk for me. But that buffalo offense is horrendous right now. I still like him though. I do like Jonnu and Wilson as well. I will wait it out and probably see where things fall.

Smith long term, but risky. Kroft for production this year and the future. Clay for just this year. Mcdonald has some sleeper appeal but james is there too. I am targeting Hurst in the early 2nd and dallas in the mid to late 2nd
