This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Startup Evaluation

Postby hudini33 » Fri Jul 20, 2018 9:33 am

Team 2 in sig is brand new. All relevant info is in the sig. How did I do on my draft? I know I went old at WR, but I'm the guy that's always trying to get a championship. Anyway, any and all advice/comments/criticism is welcome!

Thank you all in advance!

I think you have enough to make the dance and be competitive, but I cant imagine you have the best team. Obviously I say this without access to the rest of the teams

Talent wise it's not bad, but I don't think you can win before age gets you. Your wrs are strong for now. But Ab, DT, and Fitz have more years behind them than ahead. Your rbs are lack luster. On one hand I'm glad you have Cook's handcuff in Murray, on the other hand I don't really envision you ever starting both.

Drake is a starter, but that's about it. Coleman's value depends on next year.

Your QBs are solid enough, but I have a feeling there are better combos out there.

I just don't see you having enough firepower to win before your wrs come crashing down

wr needs help. starting 3-4 of em you have old ones and not good youth behind them.

looks like a middle of the pack team if this is 12-16 teams
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

So...

1st round: Brown
2nd round: Cook
3rd round: ??
4th round: Drake?
5th round: Coleman?
6th round: Howard?

Not sure I like any of those picks after round 2. I think you're in kind of a weird spot where your team is solid, probably not championship worthy, and relatively old.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones
TE: Kittle, Goedert

drake in the 3rd of a startup is a prayer that a guy with less than half a seaosn starting with no pedigree is gonna maintain to role for years to come. not a safe early pick at all. also would not have been taking a 1 year rental as one of my top 6 players.

i would have taken most any rookie RB over drake..
agree with the other assessments: too soon for Fitz, okay for DT, but would have liked to infuse some youth in the mix...
i like some of your later picks..Hurns, John Brown, Latavius...
i am an OJ Howard fan...so i like that pick
i actually think Tevin can be a viable starter this season, i think it was too early, but it might work out...not sure who you passed up to draft him...
good luck this season

this is a borderline playoff team sorry if im being harsh. granted the startup was this year and injuries can change a lot so not going to say this team cant win one this year but i would have my money elsewhere. that being said come mid season i would blow it up to the contendors and teams in the hunt and try to rebuild mid season if you arent in the race or dont feel like you have an honest chance.
