George Kittle - FAAB Waiver Bid Value to start the season

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

George Kittle - FAAB Waiver Bid Value to start the season

Postby redstang08 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 7:27 pm

Our league's waivers get processed to start the season, tonight. I want to add George Kittle as I believe he has the ability to be a top 10 tight end moving forward. Out of a $100 seasonal FAAB, looking at my team, what should I put down for a bid? I don't want to hamper my team for the rest of the season, but I also don't want to miss out on a breakout.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I would have looked at the TE situation of each roster to gauge how many I'd be bidding against. Ultimately, I could see putting around $15-25 on Kittle because I believe in the production he and Garopollo were showing at the end of last season. After a full offseason together, it could be special.

I agree with the above post. I would bid heavy on him as he has a chance to be a very productive TE which are tough to come by.

Another owner ended up out bidding me by double. I put in $26, thinking a quarter of my budget would do the trick. He put in $51. So I missed out on Kittle, but I picked up Hayden Hurst for free. Sounds like he has a leg up on Andrews at this point for the starting gig in Baltimore.

lol wow 51 on kittle is insane the hype is off the charts. suddenly the best players in the NFl are Jimmy G, McKinnon, and Kittle. surprised goodwin isnt labeled a god around here.

kittle UDFA for 51 and Hurst 1st round pick for free tells you how silly the kittle hype is

you got the better addition and at a much better price.

Yeah, it was crazy to see the $51 laid out for Kittle. But I do appreciate the price tag on Hurst. Hoping he becomes the #1 in Baltimore. Waiting for good news from training camp! As you can see from my updated sig, I was able to make some other $0 acquisitions at 4 am this morning, including Ito Smith, Justin Jackson, and Deon Cain. My team is going to be really young, but the starting upside is there for Cain and Hurst this year, Smith as an RB2 next year, and I'm gonna wait out the training camp comp between Jackson and Ekeler to see who is going to fill in for Gordon come injury time.

Now I just need to figure what to do with Cameron Brate.
