Bell or Barkley?

Postby mmass » Tue Jul 17, 2018 9:14 am

The team is not in the Sig - Starts QQRRWWWFFTKDD

My Core Roster that would matter

RB-Bell, Zeke, Fournette, Mixon, Gio, Ivory
WR- Evans, Nuk, Landry, Kupp, Crowder, Matthews, Godwin
TE- Ertz

Picks 1.02 - 1.04

Thinking about moving Bell for Barkley but not sure what the price difference should be. Obviously Bell is more valuable short term.
I think Bell straight up gets it done though I feel like I would need more back for Bell. That is the dilemma. I think I could also put and offer together involving Mixon but not sure what to add there.

What would you do?

I'd trade Bell for Barkley straight with that roster, normally im the opposite side of this trade but you havethe luxury of taking the 21 Year old back and still being a shoe in for a championship contention. Am I correct you are also getting Guice/Penny/Michel with the 1.02-1.04? That's an absurd amount of depth at RB, I'd look to move Fournette for a guy like Keenan or MT or Adams to bolster your WR core

I think the value is fair straight up

If the Barkley owner earned that 1.01 then I’m not sure he’d take Bell as I’d assume he’s rebuilding.

I'd need a little something to give up the proven player (Bell). It doesn't need to be much, maybe a prospect, but something

Keep Bell and move Fournette for a WR.

Best options are Barkley+ as a return or move Mixon instead. Bell straight up is just losing too much production.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

He also made the playoffs last year and traded to obtain 1.01 late last season.

I really like some of the suggestions here. I might have to look into that. I really haven't thought of the direction I am going at 1.02 or 1.04 because I figured I would be trading on or both to get 1.01. As well this is two QB so most likely one will go to a QB though I am deep at QB never hurts to put one back when the rest of the roster is good to go.

I wasn't aware it was 2QB, I'd take Baker at 1.02 and take BPA for RB at 1.04 or package it with LF for Barkley maybe? I think maybe this is the time to get out from under Bell though once the panic of this franchise tag situation settles down....He's 26 years old and his usage is absolutely crazy....400 touches per year? I know its crazy to trade the #1 RB in football for so long for a rookie but would it have hurt if you traded Bell for Zeke a couple years ago? NO not really, worst case Barkley produces like LF did last year but even then I think its extremely unlikely he doesn't produce high end RB1 numbers. Why not get younger? He's the best prospect to come into the league in a long time, more than Zeke and more than Gurley and more than LF. For your team that can afford a dip in production in year 1 and still win it all I'd take that chance on getting 5 years younger. After that I'd consider moxing LF+1.04 for an elite WR like OBJ if at all possible.

With that team, I would probably trade Bell straight up for Barkley. I know most people wouldn’t but beyond this season, too many question marks for me with Bell. Like others have said, you have a really good team and you could afford to do it.

Unless this is a 6 team league I would keep Bell and push for 2018 glory knowing I have the best team

You have a very solid core. I would keep Bell and draft 3 RB's that could end up being comparable to Barkley. There is still no telling how good Barkley turns out to be in the NFL. I agree with a previous post that there are a lot of question marks about Bell moving forward, but his stats/consistency is there for a reason. Barkley has far more question marks than Bell. I would try and move LF and a piece for the 1.01 before Bell. I like LF too but his injuries make me nervous
