Superflex startup finished, critique and suggest moves?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Superflex startup finished, critique and suggest moves?

Postby hockeyBjj » Tue Jul 17, 2018 8:43 am

12 team, deeper starting lineups. Half ppr (full for TE), point per first down (1/4 QB), small big play and big game bonuses.

QB, SF, 3 RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1 WR/TE, 1RB/WR/TE. 11 starters total

Team below, my initial starting lineup will be bolded. Note I traded away my 19 1st

QB- Rodgers, Watson, Ryan, Sieman
RB- Guice, Penny, Michel, C Thompson, T Riddick, D Murray, J samuels, D Washignton,
WR- D Adams, Hill, D Parker, M Williams, Bryant, Godwin, K Cole, Moncrief, T Williams, Ateman, Beasley, J Lasley, A Tate, K Wright, Valdes-Scantling,
TE- Ertz, ASJ, Gathers, Fumagali, R Izzo

All those rookie RBs scare me, but at the point in the draft with the other backs available, I would have traded all of them for the 1.2/1.3/1.5 pick in a vaccum so I took the guys I'd take with those picks basically

picks-
2024- 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,4,5,5

WR is a little iffy after Adams and Hill, but overall I love this team. I think you can drop Murray for a prospect, and I'd also look to package Godwin and Cole for a better WR3 while the hype is high on both WRs.

I left murray in my list just to show the shame and frustration at drafting a guy who retires weeks later

Was the 19th round at least, but still bit

Solid suggestion on the Godwin and Cole bundle. Thanks!

I like the team for the future, but don't see it competing this year by having to start 3 rookie RBs. Also not a huge fan of the WRs after Adams and Hill. Mike Williams and Godwin might breakout and provide some WR3 numbers, but I would have wanted at least one more proven guy. You're pretty set at QB and TE though, so they could carry you into the playoffs if you're lucky. I also don't like that you don't have a 2019 1st, but you have enough youth that will hopefully develop and help you compete sooner rather than later.

looks pretty good you should compete but wr does seem like a concern and you are indeed banking on 3 rookies to hit at rb and be productive right away.

as for a suggested move i think while its awesome to have a super high end duo like watson and rodgers i think you could afford to send one with say parker or williams and try for an evans or keenan and a 2nd tier qb like goff, jimmy g, or cousins. you still will have an excellent trio at qb and you will like your WR situation much better.
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr

Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

Love the team, I think the minor criticism on here is unwarranted. Anyone would take Adams and Hill as a strong 1/2 WR. You will have to hunt for WR 3 production, but when you have the deep starting requirements I’m sure several teams in your league are in worse shape.

Your qbs are top notch with 3 quality qbs on your roster. I’m not sure I would have wasted picks on Siemen or your 3rd /4th tes, but assuming at that time they players were very thinned out. If your rbs hit your team will be pretty solid. I’d hold on to Murray for now, if a injury happens to a top team he could be a valuable asset. Good luck.
