This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Blockbuster involving Carson Wentz/Jimmy G

Postby Markdavis3033 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 6:46 am

An owner in my 12 team ppr dynasty league is looking to make a splash and is flirting with the idea of offering:

Carson Wentz/Leonard Fournette in exchange for:

Jimmy Garopollo, Christian McCaffrey, and Trey Burton

Which side would you rather have?

Here’s my roster:
QB(start 2):
Brady
Jimmy G
Josh Allen
AJ McCaron
Davis Webb

RB (start 3-5):
D. Freeman
McCaffrey
Mark Ingram
Dion Lewis
Kerryon Johnson
Tevin Coleman

WRs (start 3-6):
Keenan Allen
Allen Robinson
Larry Fitz
Chris Hogan
Randal Cobb
Keke Coutee
Willie Snead

TEs (start 1-2):
Gronk
Trey Burton
Jared Cook

Wentz side and it is not close.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Agree with the other two - this is no where near enough for Fournette and Wentz

Right now the value is definitely on the Wentz side, but I wouldn't be surprised if this looked pretty even in a few months. I'm a big Garoppolo truther, but if you can get Wentz at this price and sell him for a profit, I'd still make this trade.

In a 2QB league, Wentz alone is probably worth all that.

I'm leaning Wentz at well pretty easily, I'd want a significantly better RB than CMC to be thrown in on the JG side. Wentz>>JG, LF>>CMC so you need a better RB to even this out LF<<??? Maybe a guy like Kamara, DJ

Wentz > Jimmy
Fournette > McCaffrey
Burton is not close to making up the gap on either of them let alone both.

I don't agree that Fournette is all that much better (if he is at all) than McCaffrey... But I definitely prefer Wentz to Garoppolo and I don't think Burton makes up the gap.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I also voted for the Wentz side along with pretty much everyone else. He's hands down the best piece in this trade. I'd want to see a full season out of Jimmy G before a trade like this goes down.

I don't get what the other owner sees. Wentz is way more valuable than Garopollo and Fournette is way more valuable than CMC. Maybe he thinks Burton will lead all fantasy players in scoring?
