What direction should I go?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What direction should I go?

Postby ZPalmtree » Tue Jul 17, 2018 5:52 am

12 Team PPR Superflex
Start QB 2RB 2WR TE 2Flex SF
QB Stafford Winston Kizer
RB CMC Coleman McGuire Adams Samuels Wadley Washington Breida
WR Allen Evans Landry Agholor Lockett Allison Fountain Moncrief Wilson Rogers Sharpe
TE Gronk Seals-Jones Goedert James
Just looking to see what direction some of you guys think I should go with this squad, we cut down to 22 just before the regular season starts. We also cut down to 15 for the offseason, then have a 7 round rookie FA draft in the spring. I own 4 ‘19 1st and 2 ’19 2nds. Just looking to see if there is something I am not seeing with this squad. I would say I think I could compete for a playoff spot, but not a lock to be a championship contender. Outside of the obvious depth issues at QB and RB, what moves would you try to make? Thanks!

The Pet Shop Boys would say Go West.

I'd say with your league & rules & future picks it seems pretty feasible to cut anyone who isnt going to have a solid role in 2018, and use the picks in 2019 to re-add them down the road.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

You're weak at RB and need a third starting QB. Those would be the two positions I'd focus on.

You can probably make the playoffs, but I don't think you're going to compete for a championship. I like the idea of moving Gronk during the season when his value goes up a little, but don't see the point in trading CMC because of your already lack of RBs.

I like the idea of trading Gronk for sure. If you can get a good return for CMC I'd move him as well.

I would definitely sell Gronk but would need a very good deal to sell CMC. If you are packing this season in then why would you trade one of your young pieces?

Get a 3rd qb and I think you will make the dance, you might not be a serious contender but upsets happen.
If the plan was to pack it in though I think Gronk becomes a pretty easy sell
