Updated trade offers: Take either deal for Eifert?

Postby Jcedwards » Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:32 pm

1.) Eifert and 2020 3rd for Kenneth Dixon and 2020 2rd

2.) Eifert and 2019 2nd for Aaron Jones and 2020 2nd (if I did this one, I wouldn’t have but 1 pick in next years draft right now)

Just looking for a little RB depth behind my top 4 and I have the TE depth to get rid of Eifert now. Plus I would like to activate Njoku from the taxi squad, but we have a max of 3 TEs to the activate roster.

I’d keep him and pass on those deals. I know it’s a big if, but “if” he can stay healthy, he may end up being more valuable than Burton. I’m not as high on Burton as most though but if you were going to do a deal, I guess the first deal is worth a flier, in case Dixon gets a solid role.

I like deal 1 more. However, I would try and see if you can just ship him for a 2019 2nd. I’d send the deal to all teams.

I would take the first deal, rather than play the "will Eifert stay healthy this year" lottery, that is always a looser.

I like the suggestion of Eifert for a 2nd too, if you can get it. No way would I pay that much though. I bought Rudolph for a 2nd earlier this year.

I'd take Trade #2. I'd say Jones alone is worth 2019 2nd + Eifert, so that's a steal. I have little to no interest in Dixon.

Yea, I'd do the 2nd one. Don't like the 1st.

I guess it isn’t a big deal right now that if I do make the 2nd trade that I will only have my 1st round pick next year? I have already traded my 3rd and this would be trading my 2nd.

#2 is the better one, but I do like either. I think Dixon is a sneaky buy. His value plummeted due to suspension and then season ending injury. That's in the past as he was just cleared to start training camp. I think the Ravens would still like to see what they have in him. I would though ask for more as value wise it is still on the Eifert side.

Update:

Guy said he would do a 2020 2nd and Dixon for Eifert and a 2020 3rd. Is that one any better?

Trade 2 is still available as is though.

You have a point there, but what is the likelihood that he stays healthy? I feel like this is a good opportunity to get something for him, because if he does get hurt again, he is done.

I'd still do the Jones deal.

Well I’m much lower on Jones than most and higher on Dixon than most. I think best case scenario is that Jones is part of a committee and there is no way in hell that he will be a three down back. Dixon does have the chance to take over for Collins at some point and it wouldn’t surprise me if he did. So for me if I felt like I had to make a trade I would take Dixon over Jones.

What makes you so sure that Jones will never be a 3 down back? From what he showed last year (granted limited action), he can very well be a 3 down back. He definitely has to improve his pass blocking though. If that improves, he can overtake the backfield in GB. We know Montgomery can't handle a 3 down role and it is yet to be seen with Williams. I'm not saying that you won't be right, but I'm trying to understand what you have seen/ heard that makes you think that he will never be a 3 down back. Is it just because of him splitting with other RBs or is there something you've seen that will keep him from that?
